This design is so boring. It just looks like whoever designed it really liked Shane and Sebastian from Stardew Valley and combined them into a SuperHusbando.

I definitely got that impression myself, plus tanning the skin a little since both Shane and Sebastian are on the pale side in terms of the farmer's love interests. Artists can be guilty of stealing/blending character designs from other artists, even though they know subconsciously it's morally wrong to do so.

How I know is that I was pretty guilty doing this when I was younger (14-17). It was wrong for me to do so, but I couldn't stop myself until I was about 18. Granted, some of my designs can give off a vibe on the designs/characters it was influenced by, but the endgame is that it is distinquishable from the source material.

I want to point out that emotional support animals and service dogs are not the same. Service dogs have specialized training, but emotional support animals are not required to have training. So, yeah a shiba inu can be an emotional support animal.

Emotional support animals are for mental illnesses and mental disabilities. Service dogs are for diabetes, PTSD, the blind, the deaf, people with seizure disorders, and mobility issues, the people who qualify for service dogs is much more narrower. People with PTSD can get either an emotional support animal or service dog, but a service dog would be a better choice as it won't start humping you as you have a flashback.

Considering the number of emotional support animals is on the rise, they honestly should start introducing training requirements. So many dumbfucks with either self-diagnosed illness and "my issues are manageable but I wanna have a super special doggo just to have it" types are getting these ES dogs, but then picking either breeds or pups that are completely unsuited for the task. Pretty much any story that has a headline along the lines of "Service Dog Bites Child on Plane" or "Service Dog Causes Commotion In Area" are pretty much guaranteed to be ES dogs because they are basically a regular dog in a vest. And the end result of this irresponsibility is that it's probably going to result in making things a lot harder on people with actual disabilities who really need service dogs, because so many selfish idiots ruin it for everyone.

EDIT: More on-topic, it is telling that the game chooses to go with emotional support animal rather than a service dog, and picking a dog breed ill suited for the task seemingly based on the dogs appearance alone. It really highlights that all the supposed diversity is all surface level and ultimately meaningless. Can't have a character who might need a service dog for blindness or heart problems or something, because that requires research and effort and people might not want to schlick it to a disabled guy.

I like both two but it is weird knowing that they came from the same artist.

It doesn't hurt to experiment. At least they've got range.

More or less, yes. Also I think one of the staffers in P2 (Kaneko prolly) ships Jun and Tatsuya. So whoever Tatsuya ships with is okay one way or another.


Lisa's complex personality gets shafted heavily by fans of the later Persona games that just became Waifu Wars. Hell, people often compared Lisa to Ann, which they kinda missed the point but eh.

You are right Kaneko did ship those two and heck, even drama CD made fun of that pairing a bit.

I never get the waifu wars in Persona series because by default, Maya Amano, is literally best girl. The whole Persona waifu war is just fighting who is second best in my opinion.

I don't mind the second one but I can understand why you prefer the first over the second because the lighting of the first looks elegant while the second looks flat as pancake. It doesn't feel like improve but like style change or the artist forget how lighting .

They're both cute in my opinion. The older style is true to the style of the manga, but the new once doesn't make her fat, black, hairy or anything, it's just more stylized and cutesy.

Speaking of Stardew Valley I looked further into the "diversity" mod I posted earlier and it has quite some racial stereotyping with its redesigns.

The nerdy computer programmer kid was made Asian.

The beach hermit was turned into a Jamaican dude.

The "one with nature" artist chick is now Native American.

The town doctor is now Indian.

Why is it when people try to redesign characters for the sake of diversity they just end up with something even more racist?
