dunno if he had confirmed it before, but during his 'I'M NAHT PLAYING MAHNSTER HUNTER DOOD, THE HYPE IS DEAD' rant he said he can't afford to play every new release now like he did in the past and that he isn't obligated to do so because it isn't 2010 anymore. I know ppl were speculating the reason he wasn't doing his usual 'buy every new release and drop it within a few hours' thing because he was super tight on budget now. He's going hard with the begging today.

He bought dissidia for no reason, never played it.
If he waits for the beta first, he would not throw out the money on the window... BUT HE HAS TO PICK AND CHOOSE WHICH GAME TO BUY. Suuurrreeeee....

Meh, it's just greed. He could live in the south where taxes trend lower, and he would trying to get more blood from a stone on taxes, even if he would just suck it up each quarter, he might get most of that money back. Then again if he got a refund each time, he'd just spend it on paperweights worth hundreds of dollars.

Why pay him to be an angry bitter prick when you can get genuine anger for free?

He knows he has zero worth as an entertainer - he's already resorted to repeating the shower video and revisiting old playthroughs; my money is on him making Patrons pay to have their friend requests 'ridiculed' again or maybe even get another house in a different state to get some sweet vlog views.

It's like Phil is rebooting his career. Just repeat all the shit he has already done, but do it "better" for a "new audience".

This is fairly unique to Phil, too. I can think of a number of streamers who have been making a living, or part of their living, mainly doing Twitch streams and things like that who would have no problem getting a real job if they wanted one. One who is almost the anti-DSP would be lethalfrag, who does a lot of challenge let's plays, i.e. speedrunning it or doing an incredibly difficult game with added challenges, etc. He also has a cooking stream. However, he also has a culinary arts degree and his dishes are professional quality.

So if he had to explain the gap in employment, he could actually point to years of content he created. A potential employer wanting to see what was in that gap could see him on stream acting professionally, politely, and basically doing a good job. No tantrums, insults, calling people fucking idiots, or bad conduct. And if it was actually related to his degree, they could actually see him cook dishes and see that he still had his skills sharp.

It's not that DSP has been a professional streamer that would be the issue. It's that he's a toxic shithead and this is obvious within minutes. He opens with whining and begging and insulting people and complaining, and then when he finally gets around to doing his actual "job" of playing games, he's obviously a complete fuckup and blames everyone and everything but himself for his obvious mistakes.

They'd see this is a guy you don't want around.

He's not even a jovial jackass who could fit in as an office clown. He's just a hateful shithead. Would you hire a guy who calls himself the King of Hate?

All the employer would have to do is google his name and realize what a shitlord he is. This would be a huge barrier to anyone.

But even if he got them to "ignore all Google results," he still has nothing to show. But yes, they'd Google him and see all the "detractor" material and even spergy shit like the SoK videos more or less source everything they say about him from his own material. It's not like they were making shit up.

1) 500 subs on twitch
2) If 500 then all Patreon's that pledges enough will get to vote on what game he should play.

You pay 5 dollars on patreon too and you can vote.

Someone told him you can make subscribers vote, he is like... NO ONE TOLD ME. NO ONE EXPLAINED IT TO ME. SOMEONE TELL ME ON EMAIL HOW TO DO.
