The board is absolutely passing the buck. It was always their responsibility to be aware of what was happening at TLL and to ensure the organisation was legally compliant. While it's great to see Greta and Nina's reputations being tarnished - as they should be - the board members who allowed all of this to happen should be equally tarnished.

I think to some extent it was the celebrity endorsements and growth in profile that forced them to act. When it was just some little fledgling organisation with a handful of people ignoring the phones, they could get away with siphoning off the operating budget to tool around America in a van, attempting to murder poor innocent Kiwi Farms admins. When it became bigger and better known, that kind of crap couldn't fly any more.

Unfortunately, instead of trying to behave like goddamn adults, Greta and Nina just doubled down on being irresponsible, shitty human beings. Greta thinks the rules do not apply to her. You can't have someone pretty openly ripping you off and talking about having shoot-outs with the police at the head of your organisation when you've got Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry looking over your shoulder.

I mean, I have very little confidence in anyone who conducts business using the name "Bunny." I doubt Greta and Nina were able to siphon off money without the board noticing. I suspect damage control is in place, and there are probably quite a few staff quietly shitting themselves right now.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but the phrase "we were troubled to be diverted from this mission" makes me curious. It could refer to Sisterwood or possibly dicking around re Nina's immigration status and Greta's determination to go mad survivalist against ICE.

That would be fun, but I suspect La Zorra is going to collapse at this point. Greta seemingly forgot about this long-term incredibly important project that she's been planning for years, and when it was raised to Nina, her response had a feeling of "oh yeah... that thing."

I think either funds were coming from TLL or, assuming Troontown and the booting of the Stinkditch Sisters were unrelated, Greta ragequit when things didn't come together right away. My money's on the former - the plot of land cost thousands, the stuff they got out there must have cost thousands more, and I don't believe either of them have the long-term planning skills necessary to save the money up - especially given that buying the land appears to have been a spur-of-the-moment thing.

It was the American Association of Suicidology which wouldn't give accreditation to organisations which don't practise active rescue.

They've been accredited by a different body - Contact USA. Going through their accreditation requirements now.

And there it is.

It looks like they don't require an organisation to practise active rescue but do require specific instructions on how to do so with client consent.

As they've received accreditation, they must have now adopted at least a minimal "duty to warn" plan.

I really wish the TLL statement would hurry up and filter through the trans community.
