After the whole Kim Brink thing, it's obvious why people want to verify who it is. History is repeating itself.
People are asking questions, the mods are deleting questions and everybody's being told "take it at face value, even if it's fake news DSP's reaction will be precious!"
Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice I won't be fooled again.
That's why you take it with a grain of salt and just make note of it. When the Kim Brink thing came up, it was funny and I enjoyed the banter. You don't get burnt looking at the stove, only when you touch it.

So, I'm gonna put in my two cents. The Escort arc aside, I think this is legitimate. We've known for years how salty Phil is over detractor videos. It's what spawned quotes like "You're stealing my khaantent!", "spreading blatant lies!", "no-life dumbfucks", etc etc. He's been butthurt over them since day one. It's just like him to want to get rid of them.

We know that despite how he tries to act like he doesn't care about something, or if he says he's "over it", he's not. Just look at the breakup with Leanna. Guy starts by saying it was mutual and it just happened with nothing bad, then we get salty tears with Phil for months, with him whining about her and the whole thing. Same goes for any shit that happens in his life. Something occurs. He puts on a cool exterior to try and impress his fans by acting like a badass that can't be shook by stuff. But his ego has been shattered, and it's only a matter of time before he makes it apparent.

This is just more proof of how """honest""" he truly is, and how fragile his ego is. Yeah, he doesn't care about those dumb detractor vids, guys. Believe what he says, even though he tries to get them took down behind the scenes.

tbh if I was a fan of some streamer and they sent me a list of work to do for them then I'd probably post the screenshots everywhere or send them a bill. That's the part that strikes me as more despicable than anything else.

To me it would depend on what they asked of me, if it was simple promotion on a forum, doing a wallpaper for the stream i wouldnt post it online, but i wouldnt also keep it a secret, however asking to find and help flagging videos of people that disagree and the streamer would flag to avoid a bad reputation is a completly diffrent thing!

That is pretty bad. But to Phil, it probably didn't occur to him how grimy it is.

It's why I think this is real. The Escort shit was outrageous and wild, but you had to reach a bit for it to line up. This falls in line so well with Phil's history and anger towards detractor videos, and it's so minor in comparison, it feels more genuine. The Escort arc was good for laughs, but this seems legitimate, since it has years of Phil's salt over detractor videos to support it, among other things.

I get that people get excited by things which are kept private but its really not that exciting or groundbreaking. .

This really can't be foot stomped enough. It's nothing new, and it's not something unheard or unfamiliar. Like, we know Phil watches these videos he says so himself, we know he has a hate boner for YouTube being you can't watch a stream without it coming up.

I think the likelihood of this being factual is probable with the text messages, but know that DSP fans are fucking weird. In either case, I agree with Neger that it's not this huge truth bomb; just more silliness with Phil.

Any potential insider info, or insights, that you're willing to share on the situation of Phil trying to organize takedowns of videos that he finds particularly egregious?

Well how I see it is that while both situations are technically the same, comparing them isn't. Here we have proof that Phil wants detractor content flagged and the videos removed and incites his paycult to do it for him cause he's a lazy prick. With the whole Kimberly thing it was a couple who had a catfish account going back nearly a decade who claimed that Phil hired an escort to pretend to be his gf and also fucked him up the ass with a dildo.

The former is confirmation of something that most people here have long suspected, and is a realistic reaction to people making hundreds of videos (rightfully) calling you an asshole. The latter is a wild story that most agreed to be farfetched, but at the same time agreed that knowing the kind of person Phil is, somewhat plausible.

So in this case, I'll trust the mods and their own confirmation methods and file this under true and honest. It bears repeating that the only reason the Kimberly fiasco happened like it did was because the evidence was pretty convincing initially, and then proceeded to fall apart after a while.

But if next week @neger psykolog posts screenshots from anonymous sources that say the reason Phil snorts all the time is cause he rails coke off Thai hookers with his Twitch money every weekend, you bet your ass I'm gonna want the sauce on that.

I guess we might as well ask @Null to take a quick peek and confirm it's some real DMs from the real DSP.

Not that they're particularly exciting or revelatory but. Can't hurt coming off the heels of the last Twitter based fiasco.

Regardless, Phil will do something stupid enough to be amusing within the month to make this irrelevant.

What is the reasoning behind not saying who it is? Once DSP sees the messages, he'll know who it is, and I don't know how it affects anything if we know. I don't care that much about who it is, just curious why not.
I personally(and professionally) could care less about the messenger's identity. The message itself is telling of Phil's hypocritical "I'm the realest muthafucca on Youtube" stance. If someone outed my professor to everyone cheating on the final, I wouldn't launch into an investigator on the person that outed us. I cheated on a final. I'm the piece of shit.

Nigga are you some kind of pleb who doesn't have a direct contact at the examination board or something?

I was banned early on for calling out the exact scenario of the catfishing thing but Im not as skeptical of this. Yeah it can be faked, and possibly even faked onto twitter, but what would be the point? The catfish was a scam to wring money out of Phil, this is just Phil doing his usual routine of looking like an asshole and then rewriting history in his head.

The only thing that casts doubt on this is the condition of anonymity because there's a very easy way to find out who made the leak if you have access to the twitter. Im not gonna spell it out, but "burn this letter" type conversations tend to not get burned. So it doesnt really matter.

That said, this is such a low-risk, low-reward "leak" that there's really no reason for it to have been faked. Yeah you could fake the screenshots but not the actual twitter DM, and maybe you could get more solid proof by posting the inbox or whatever--but what's the point? These leaks arent really that damning for Phil. What does it prove? That he watches detractors? He's said so. He wants them taken down? He made it clear. He'll false flag them to get his way, and possibly throw temper tantrums on top of it? The dude is the dictionary definition of doughy manchild, of course he would. He makes other people do his work because he's "so busy"? Dude just watch any stream. That he's a coward, a liar, a hypocrite, and willing to cheat or be scummy to win? See above. None of this is really new.

I am however awaiting the long awaited plot twist where @neger psykolog actually is Fred Fuchs, he's the one who made the leak and has been stringing people along for his own amusement, in an actual display of 4D puppetmastery.

Honestly it depends on the video and situation. If hypothetically the first thing that came up searching for DSP was something like "DSP exposed proven child molestor" or something of that caliber. I could both relate and understand why he would do it. But Thesecretlife of DSP's video I would not see worthy. He fuched the escort thing up a bit. But no one cares about that any more.

Phil never told me to flag or take down anything. And except for that time I reported the SOK twitch stream, I have not done anything like that. In fact phil would usually refuse to discuss any type of drama of any kind. So this is very surprising.

I don't know if you're referring to in private or when he's streaming, but he usually really tries hard to impress upon people about how little he cares about the drama. But he does it so frequently and with such effort that it usually has the same or a worse effect than actually just addressing or responding to it.
