I don't. I am saying the person is more important then the message. I was not in a situation where phil would ask me to do a thing like this. Whatever the case is it's a person that is closer to phil then I ever was. He was always very cautious when talking with me. He would never ever suggest anything like this. And I never disclosed any "insider information" And I was pretty sure none of the other mods where in on anything similar. I never heard of it.

You don't think he might be a bit pissed off due to recent events? If he's mad enough and doesn't have viking to talk to anymore, maybe he'd be a bit more inclined to put his foot down in regards to detractor content now.

Someone has been trying to take down Snort Burnell's channel for at least the past eight months. That's why she was uploading videos to a backup channel until that channel also got strikes against it. I suspect she's prepared to re-upload her content if Phil and/or his cronies have their way.

The most recent example I'm aware of an attack against Snort's channel happened in early February: One of the videos on the second sponsorship (I think it was called "the new sponsorship") was temporarily taken down due to bullying and harassment.

Now, the dates on the DMs are from late January to early February. But is that of this year? If that's the case, then it would be reasonable to say Phil himself reported Snort's channel or encouraged his fans to do so. It could even be argued they had a modicum of success in doing so because of the sponsorship video being taken down.

I use the plural "fans" for a reason, and that's what makes these DMs so interesting: It's very likely that Neger's anonymous source wasn't the only person Phil asked to check out these videos for possible slander.

I'm still amazed that the same group of people that wholeheartedly believed that Leanna actually owned the adsense connected to Phil's account because Fred Fuchs said so are now the people demanding time stamped high quality receipts for minor leaks.

Yeah, it's kind of crazy. I haven't checked this thread since this morning, I'm surprised people are still arguing over whether or not this shit is fake. These DMs only serve to show that Phil is a liar, which is something everyone already knows. There's not much more to say on the subject.

While I understand being skeptical -- not wanting to be taken on another ruse cruise or whatever; this situation doesn't warrant the autistic levels of vetting being requested. Nothing from these DMs are seriously damaging to Phil or his brand. He's doing what everyone already assumed he was doing before.

And to be honest, actually having proof of this caliber is kind of rare when it comes to DSP in general. Direct access to an account to prove the DMs are completely legit? C'mon son.

I give him 2 hours of stream, less it the tips don't start rolling in. Less still if it's a PUBG stream.

He has literally nothing else happening in his life besides sitting on the couch, going out into the sunlight once a week (literally), and getting shit on by the internet.

I think I get what you're trying to say here.

From my perspective (and for most casual observers), the DMs are interesting because of what it reveals about Phil's character. But for you, it's more personal than that because you view yourself as being very close to Phil. I think you're wondering why Phil wouldn't turn to you to help him take down the detractor videos, and that's why the sender of the message is your focus.

You view yourself as being someone Phil can trust, because he's entrusted you with private information that you kept private. You've invested yourself in Phil's well-being and in the success of Phil's business for long enough to have proven your loyalty.

And I get that. Out of everyone that has had Phil's back, it would have made sense for him to ask for your help. You're a lot more familiar with detractor content than the majority of Phil's fans, and you're articulate when pointing out your disagreements within that content.

I'm not sure why Phil would ask somebody else to do the research. But if I had to guess, perhaps the individual has some experience with Entertainment Law in New Media. Therefore, that person could better help Phil identify what qualifies as slander and libel based on the ever-changing standards within the industry as established by company policy and legal precedent.

Well (1) the person already gave their reason for posting the private message and it's a pretty legitimate one: Phil went after a supposed little kid, and instead of just owning up to the reactionary response, dug in and suggested that he was in the right. . .to attack a supposed little kid. And (b) the person only matters in verifying information if the validity of the information isn't verifiable through any other means.

. . .seriously this keeps getting brought up, but it bears repeating again: there are only two outcomes. NP is lying about verifying it's Phil or they aren't. Any dancing around the issue ("Oh well I never did anything like that myself", "Phil never asked me to do such things") is ignoring those exhaustive scenarios.

Also I love the "what would these people do. . ." bit. I imagine what anyone would do if one of their favorite shows got taken off the air: find something else. It's amazing how he extrapolates to the general the actions of the specific. Like every person who isn't his fan is hitting F5 like a madperson on DSP tracking websites.

It's like he wants to punish people for coming to his second stream. Not only is it too late for most of the country and too early for Euros but he always plays bullshit.

Edit: While I'm super curious to watch Phil try and act his way through being surprised/spooked by DDLC he's far snortier than normal so fuck it someone will clip the good bits anyways.

To try to make this even clearer. I am shocked phil would do a thing like this. And then deny it happened. It's him that says it isn't a big deal, but still goes and says it's fabricated. I would have been on my marry way caring about something completely different if it wasn't for these odd circumstances.

It's someone really friendly with phil, that he trust enough to write something like this. That narrows it down to a list of very few people. And if you couple that with some of those willing to give their password to kiwifarms. The math doesn't add up. The person was so adamant proving this was real too. It completely blows my mind. It doesn't matter if phil knows, but the general public can't know. And you trust kiwifarms have your back and you are this close to phil. Do you honestly not see the paradox?

What I found most interesting about Phil's rant is when he warns his viewers not to listen to the black hole bullshit stories from the detractors. Once you start listening to them it's over, you've ruined it for yourself and there's no going back.

True. Once you've seen the light there is no reason to go back to the dark(sydephil). Once someone realizes Phil is lying and manipulating his audience to get their money, you don't tip cheer or sub.

Is reverse gaslighting a thing? Where the manipulator makes the victim do crazy things while convincing them they're perfectly sane and everyone else is crazy?

Everything they say about me is a lie. Don't even listen to it. Don't look at it. Don't go to the websites. It's perfectly normal for me to ask you for money. You're my fan right?
