Now that I've seen a bit of the video, I guess I'll echo what others have been saying. By commenting on Phil, as opposed to how uncomfortable Kat looks.

Real talk. Phil has absolutely no chemistry with her. Whatsoever. She's talking about herself, he turns into a bobblehead and just starts nodding, with no expression or anything. Just a completely lifeless face. Dude doesn't even look at her when she's describing her gaming preferences, he just looks at the camera for a solid 30 seconds (which is interesting in of itself, since he struggles to even do that basic task when he's alone and ends up looking all over the place like he's on crack, or something).

It couldn't be more obvious that he doesn't care about her, though.

1. First time she was brought up, when talking about what makes her his "soulmate", he brings up how she can support him both emotionally and financially.

2. Anytime a viewer asks if she's okay, instead of responding with "She's fine, thanks for asking!", he starts talking about meals she's made recently.

3. The aforementioned lifelessness when she talks about herself. I mean, he showed more emotion when she brought up detractors, than when she was talking about her own likes and dislikes.

Shit is just sad. The most pathetic "relationship" I think I've ever seen.

Ewww....He puts his hand on her back, and she doesn't lean into him or show some form of affection, but instead Phil leans away. He's trying to demonstrate attraction; like an actually autistic person being reminded to maintain eye contact when someone speaks or ask how someone is doing. He's trying to be natural--organic--but him touching her with his masturbation hand made me cringe. This shit show is all business. There's not love or attracted to the point of having even casual sex. it's just a shit show.

So, do we remember the last time Phil filmed a couch vlog without his usual self-promotion badges? I see no Patreon, no Twitter, no http-bullshit-bullshit-full-URL unceremoniously hung on the top of the frame.

Alongside what @Drip Feed observed about the lack of snorts, it shows again what a frankly just fundamentally bad guy Phil is. He knows all these things he does are obnoxious at best, and abusive and morally bankrupt at worst. And we know he knows, because he can turn it all off the second he needs to look good. Like with Leanna's old room that he was planning to make Kat help clean out!

Totally, there's a lot that can be said about Kat's poor decision making, but it would really be pretty awful if she got dragged down into the abyss of bankruptcy and alcoholism that Phil is destined for. All I meant was, if she needs to get out, she can. No need to let Phil ruin her life.

You can still feel a little bad. She met this guy 3 times who flew her half way across the country and gaslighted her with shit like 'youre my soulmate' and then rushed her into moving halfway across the country and oops living with him for a month straight she can see all the flaws he could hide a weekend at a time.

She's dumb, so we can pity her for that.

Has anyone speculated yet that Kat has ran away from some sort of obligation, i.e marriage/children?

I only ask because if she is financially dependent on Phil now, that means more than likely she was financially dependent on someone before Phil. Is she a military wife? That would be great, Phil harboring a married mother who ran away from being a parent because she hates her husband and doesnt want to deal with children.

It has to be that or she is a NEET who got cut off from mommy and daddy.

No grown adult woman would have a handful of conversations on the internet with some random man(child), and just decide to move in with them across country unless they were

a.)running away from something or
b.)mentally challenged.

I am sensing that Kat ( which is not her real name) is stuck between hiding her identity so she won't be found, and appeasing Phil. I think its obvious Phil wants to parade Kat just to get back at Leanna and prove the haters wrong.

There was really no reason for Phil to bring up Kat at all. She could have moved in, and as long as she was not on camera, no one would have been the wiser. If Phil truly wanted this relationship to not be tarnished from internet shenanigans, he would have not brought her up at all.

. . .people may be reading too much into Kat's body language, but it still doesn't excuse that this was a BAD video done for BAD reasons. If she was just nervous about being on camera given the "hate" out there, this still proves the point: rather than keep Kat away from all of that madness, Phil props her up so that he can say "see, she's still here and she's got the bewbies." She's been on video before, and while her other videos weren't anything impressive, they weren't this awkward level of uncomfortable we see here.

What's even more galling is that he had the cajones to actually put this up online which suggests he either (a) doesn't review his videos before upload (including the one and done ones) or (b) doesn't really give a shit.
