And when she turns him down he decides to try again with a different super-blockbuster movie that somehow he thinks she (a metadata librarian in a movie studio) won't have ever heard of?
It's almost like watching a little kid lie, like before they have any idea what a reasonable or believable lie is. "Did you take the cookies?"

How can someone be so clueless about social interaction as to tell this kind of tall tale as an adult? Is she just fishing for people to call her a liar so she can feel persecuted and righteous?
