Phil has approximately the same amount of views every day. His subs stay pretty much the same. The people you see in his chat, except for throwaway troll accounts, are the same too. So my question is, why does he spend so much of his "valuable time" rehashing the exact same bullshit every day? I'm sure everyone knows all about his taxes, how to donate to him, that he streams twice a day, that he's been doing this for ten years, etc.

Phil won't play Secret of Mana for an hour and a half because it is a waste of time, but spending an hour every stream to tell his viewers the same shit every single day is perfectly fine.

Then he bitches about his throat getting sore. Maybe if he didn't waste 13,000 words on saying absolutely nothing of value he wouldn't have that problem.

I think that's fine to say, since Kat's driving him around everywhere now. If someone attempts this right now, it won't hurt him any. I think the risk of someone attempting this in the theoretical future where he's single again is pretty minimal. People around here seem to forget stuff within a few weeks or months.

As A-Loging goes, that would be one of the more justified examples since half-blind Phil is potentially unnecessarily putting other people in real danger by driving without his glasses.

Because he doesn't want to play games lol. He's one of the worst channels to just stumble across. YouTube you have 1000 parts of a 10 hour game and half of them are the same 10 minute section over and over again. It's not even about edited gameplay I don't even like watching jump cut stuff, but screw watching the same thing over again. Then on Twitch he just rambles on about nothing half the time and ignores everyone in chat unless you sent him some stupid bits.

Call me optimistic but I don't think he's that stupid. I think he's trying to get rid of viewers and blame detractors and get sympathy money. He was probably getting more from BSV a month than YouTube at one point.

I'd love to see a mini website. With blog articles, titled "how to do something".

Example: How to stir authentic italian sauce.

Then you copy and paste the extracted words from his video into the article. (Formatted with paragraphs maybe..)
Then send the blog posts to him.

Would be a good way to keep track of all the bullshit he spouts.

That would really piss him off.

From the looks of things, Phil got ~$14 from 1 sub and cheers. Don't know about tips, but am working on doing that. Twinge (http://twinge.tv/channels/darksydephil/streams/#/27947155520) says he maxed out at ~340 viewers.

I've always scoffed when others have said it in the past, but now I feel confident the end is nigh. He's at least 75% fan funded now & that percentage is only gonna increase as YT continues its nosedive. In order for that to work however, his twitch audience needs to increase as well. Ain't gonna happen. He's not gonna get 5k -6k a month in fan support indefinitely. He may make it through 2018, but I see something happening next year at the latest where he is forced to do something with either the Connecticut place or the Renton place, or both. He'll continue to be a full time streamer for a long time, but his days as a 2 home big baller shot caller are almost at an end.

I'd feel a little bad at having to read such pathetic mewling from Phil, but he's genuinely offering a product no one wants to buy. Did anyone want Heavy Rain besides him? Does anyone really want to watch him play Burnout in sullen silence? He's spent so long selling himself as the streamer that focuses strictly on superficial aspects of games, and now he's stripping that out.

You can't have sympathy for someone with a purported business sense (lol degree) that can't understand supply and demand.

I absolutely love Phil's idea of pushing for unreasonable sub goals. Just imagine being a legitimate fan of Phil, and you really wanna hit the sub goal so you do your part and subscribe, by the end of the night the stream is down like 10 subs. Must be really discouraging and make his little cult feel really ineffective when every few minutes the ever lower subcount gets brought back up again, like Chinese water torture.

Love how he makes out like the month has a vendetta for him. Meanwhile Grimmmz, Shroud, Maximillion, JoshOG, Dizzykitten, and every single other streamer I'm remotely interested in has slowly but surely been growing.

It's got nothing to do with games either, Grimmmz is cycling through a handful atm and regularly maintains 4-5k even when not playing his main games.

I'm sure I could randomly look at any amount of streamers and see slow but sure growth, DSP has peaked. For 1 simple reason, he's fucking boring. You go to his stream and you know exactly what's going to happen. He's going to do an unnecessarily long pre-stream where he moans and begs for money. Then he's going to play a game as slowly and as boring as possible. Very very rarely interacting with viewers unless given a few pennies. Sometimes purposely insulting viewers and banning them for asking questions (I don't believe for a second they're all detractors).

Meanwhile his mods, who are supposed to look out for the streamer will just ban whoever they please, cutting him off at the legs even more than he himself does. All the while laughing and patting each other on the back for a job well done.

He absolutely needs to restructure everything in terms of presentation and entertainment. He absolutely will not grow until then. He's his own worst enemy, has been for years.

Yep, I was off for spring break this week and decided to watch every one of Phil's afternoon and evening streams and It had to be one of the least entertaining thing I have ever seen. EVERY SINGLE DAY he begs for money. EVERY SINGLE NIGHT he begs for money. Does he not realize how off putting that is for any new viewer? Then if you try to ask about the taxes or bills that he himself if talking about you get banned permanently. The whole thing is bizarre . The mod that I think is the least mature is Anonysaurusrex. The dude is a massive asshole and you can tell they are a prepubescent teenager from the way they behave. I have no clue why Phil gave that guy any power.

Phil wants people to talk and stir conversation but you have to watch your tongue because if you say anything that might slightly offend him or his mods you get banned. Even then you have to give him bits if you want him to acknowledge you. The commentary is non existent its just him chuckling to himself or stating something obvious in the game. Next time you go in his chat (if you do, noone will blame you if ya don't) look out for a cunt by the name bentboxer. That twat seems to encourage bans for no reason other than lulz. The day I was banned he was like some little cheerleader repeating names for bans and most of them got banned. IDK who it is, but he may be a detractor in hiding, he seems to get off on making Daves chat as inhospitable as possible.

And he's not even a mod, just a genuine cunt.

Edit - To my recollection, 5 people he suggested get banned, got banned. For no reason, they were just poking fun at Phil. Not maliciously just in jest. He has to be friends with a mod at least. It was like he said a name, then instantly that person was banned.
