@AnOminous , I summon thee as pretty much our only Legal Kiwi left. Tell us about Grampa Zack's chances of nailing Matt to the wall on libel and poisoning the well over his service records.

There's a pretty solid claim in terms of liability. The weakness is in damages. It will be hard to point to how this actually harmed D&C.

Defamation claims are usually not worth it, I'm afraid. It's pretty rare that someone is both stupid enough to blatantly tell harmful lies about someone and has enough money to pay a judgment.

I reckon that the damages would be calculated based on how the libel might scare off investors, licenses, or other potential income by making it look like Grampa Zack is a dishonest liar who overstates things. Pretty good to have a solid reputation especially if you're asking for investment to start a business like a comics company. It's still going to be a pain to push for though and it'd have more value in closing off that dishonest avenue from DnC's own Rogues Gallery than any monetary gains.

Zack won't get blood from the troon turnip, but it would be worth it to provide a warning to any other troons looking to pull the same garbage. They need to see that the US legal system isn't like their online hugbox where they can get off scot free by claiming gender dysphoria.

Yup. As I understand things, it's very hard to get financial gains from a defamation suit. Especially since D&C should be considered a public figure in the realm of comicsmedia.

The symbolic gain of a cry-bully getting sentenced in an actual court for actual harassment; and greater exposure of just how bat-shit crazy the SJW comics gatekeepers are, might be of great value though.

Again I can’t confirm if any of this is true yet. I’ve heard multiple theories on it from it being Michelle to the original Morgue (Martin) coming back , even theories that multiple people ran the OG Melissa Morgue account and this was one of them. Just another little footnote in the Morgue Saga.
