Depending on what the details of the buyout was...what the hell could they do? Resell it back to Dragoneer who has probably already spent the money on commission art? Find another person to buy a website that looks like it hasn't been redesigned in ten years and features freaky animal-people porn?

I guess they could sell it to Bad Dragon. Now that would be interesting!

It would be interesting, but bad dragon already owns e621 and owns the much less successful furrynetwork.com . Owning furaffinity would be redundant to their efforts and they'd probably be much happier watching it go down in flames.

I could see Varka dumping furrynetwork to buy FA instead. FN is largely a failure, but FA still has a very active fanbase with new people joining the site constantly (including a fair number of non-furry artists).

We have no information to verify. That said, it wouldn't be surprising. He had secret admin access before, during the Project Phoenix dumpster fire.

He's got enough name recognition that removing him from FA wouldn't hurt him too much. The only thing his account there does is make FA look bad through their epic mishandling of his decade of disciplinary problems. At the very most they would want him to take obvious underage art down. To be honest, I doubt they're even going to do that much. It'll blow over and nothing will happen. FA is a safe bubble space for him. He's going to get a lot more heat on places like Twitter where Dragoneer can't ban users for wrongthink.
