I was in the area, and decided to make a pilgrimage to 14 Branchland for a drive-by.
Couple of things:
1. The neighborhood Chris lives on is full of kids. Riding golf carts, bikes, etc... There also were a lot more black kids than I would have expected. They were all running around the neighborhood. Chris might not be wrong about neighborhood kids fucking with him.
2. There was a Greene county Sheriff's SUV pulling out from Branchland CT.
I did not see where they stopped, if they stopped, just that the SUV was pulling out of Branchland CT. Obviously there's a reason for the Sheriff to be there, but I didn't see, nor would I speculate. When I was leaving, he was sitting in a cul-de-sac.
3. Without spring/summer weeds, 14 Branchland doesn't look that bad. Really. There's other houses I passed on the road that looked just as bad, if not worse.
4. There's the trash can pulled right up to the bottom of the stairs. Also, Chris parks nearly in front of those steps.
5. It looks like whoever is driving the mini-van just drove across the grass and doesn't bother turning into Branchland, then into the driveway. Either Chris or Barb just drives across the grass, doing it enough to make ruts.
6. The road that gets to his place is pretty narrow and winding. Outside of his development, it's really in the sticks.
7. R-ville really is a shit town. I can see why Chris hates it. I stopped at the Sheetz near his house and there was some fat, toothless woman in Realtree camo arguing about how poorly her Mac 'n Cheese bites were cooked. Then there were these dirty, scruffy homeless looking dudes at the main intersection in town crossing through traffic, causing people to brake hard.
8. Police were everywhere. As I said, the Sheriff was in his development, but in R-ville I saw 2 squad cars driving around. In the other cities around, I saw none except for one State Trooper.
I do have to make note, that his property did not that bad, at least not like what we've seen in the past.
