Holy shit, that’s honestly really scummy. You have every right to be pissed about that.

I can see her excuse being something like “I didn’t have enough paid cameos and it was a good opportunity to engage with fans and fill space” but if those free cameos are mixed in with ones people fought for a kickstarter space for, and then poured a ton of money into making canon, holy shit Glip what are you thinking. Just make random background characters at that point, and put the cameos separated somewhere else.

I think what bothers me the most out of that is the fact that when she posted about needing extra free characters on twitter, she was warning that “Your character will be sick and dying!! It won’t be a big role!” but the kickstarter backers never got that warning. Congrats Glip, you pulled a Hussie and instantly killed off fan characters they paid money to put in your comic.

I don't see why she would.

As what's become routine by now, she is quick to nip fan concerns in the bud through lengthy twitter chimpouts to make her ''point'' followed by damage control by both herself as well as the court of cucks and leave it at that. Considering Ralph's other tweets counter-argue her reply by going further in-depth with what they saw in those archived links, even giving light to such tweets let alone replying to them would imply to fans that there's more to what's on the farms than PK is willing to let on to her following.

I wouldn't pay her for a commission because she has absolutely no interest in anything outside of Floraverse and/or her favorite media (but mostly Floraverse). PK only accepts commissions for drawing her own Floraverse characters, and rarely, if it's a fan Floraverse character she will not put in effort for it because she's selfish.

There's also the fact that PK could also end up tracing over a reference piece instead of actually drawing it if she really doesn't give a fuck.

A lot of the art crit isnt “entry tier criticism” its things that make the comic legitimately hard to read and follow. If dozens of people have the same criticism, maybe its a damn good one or at least worth your time.

Also i hate when people say “oh you try churning out dozens of comic pages, before you speak” both because its an elitist douche argument, and also I hate to break it to you, but

I’m also a comic maker with “hundreds of pages of content” and there are dozens of artists with years of expertise in this forum. Criticizing media isnt entirely exclusive to PK and their clique. People point these things out because they are ovbious flaws or beginner mistakes they were making years ago and because it makes the end product look cluttered and hard to consume. Even the most “rendered” pages look extremely rushed, and as someone on a 2 pages a week schedule i dont buy the “time” argument either, especially when backgrounds are completely overlooked and most of the comics suffer from a case of Shot-reverse-shot filling the whole page.

Its also a bit of a case study in how not to have a social media presence, by constantly shooting yourself in the foot by going on long winded rants, vaugeposting and being extremely unprofessional. Its genuinely interesting to observe, most of these issues could be solved by unplugging more, keeping a closed off chatroom to vent in, changing your attitude and owning up to past mistakes. Threads without new content die hard.

And on that note, since PK seems to apply different standards to themselves, id like to close with this:

They are so rushed, just look at the most recent pages which genuinely look like thumbnails with some tones put on using multiply.

And i mean genuinely as in i just did literally the same thing with a saved thumbnail and got a similar result save the resolution

The one above was drawn on a resotion of about Potato DPI, scribbled into a sheet with about 150 other panels and in less than 30 seconds, all i did was scale it up and add a similar color pattern. Sure there is more fine line work in PK’s below, and the characters and details are more refined, but thats still fairly embarrasing to put out as a finished product or as a legitimate update to your schedule


Also I’m not saying this because I’m some “art guru” or whatever, PKs sketch updates can literally be compared to entry level industry standard rough first drafts, yet they still run their mouth about how much of an expert they are.
