TGWTG "Nostalgia Critic" / Doug Walker, Rob Walker, Mike Michaud, Mike Ellis, Holly Christine Brown, et al - The Incompetent Predator-Protecting Upper Management of Channel Awesome, Doug Still Not That Funny

I´m sorry but if I think women with mustaches are lazy and ugly I´m going to think trannies with mustaches are lazy and ugly too

Luke Mochrie:
Doug ended up pushing him away by trying hard in a not subtle way to get his famous father involved in CA. Luke walked away when he realised he was being used.
On top of everything, I need to know what, if any, words were exchanged with Colin Mochrie. I can now absolutely believe Channel Awesome would try to "pay him in exposure," if only for the image of Colin's agent howling with laughter at their chutzpah.

That thing about Luke Mochrie reminded me that when the CW announced Whose Line Is It anyway was coming back TV tropes and Channel Awesome fans all wanted Doug to be one of the first fourth seat comedians because they thought he would be able to fit in with Wayne, Colin and Ryan. The thing that's funny about this is that Doug royally sucks at improv. When one of the Chicago improv groups invited him to be a guest performer he royally failed. He couldn't keep up with them, couldn't come up with new material on the fly and couldn't do funny subversions. It was a disaster and proved that Doug isn't suited for comedy that doesn't feature a script.
People also called for him and other CA contributors to be a part of MST3K when it was first rumored to be coming back (two years before the Kickstarter campaign that brought the show back). The fanbase clearly overestimates their abilities.

I remember hearing about that, after they "won" the Rifftrax contest, the fans wanted them to be the new group. The scariest thing I remember from that was of a handdrawn poster on Deviantart that featured Doug in the Joel/Mike Role, Spoony as Crow, Lindsay as Gypsy and Linkara as Tom Servo.

Looks like Tony Skidmark may be making his way out soon too now that he's seen what way the wind is blowing.

I sincerely doubt they listen to Tony on the best of days so maybe he's actually right about something for the first time in his life.

It would be absolutely GLORIOUS if he got shit-canned for being critical of them.

God knows if this is real, but I'm relieved that Brad is a still a good dude and no skeletons hiding in the closet have been reveled. He's the only one I like out of all these hacks
Pretty sure Brad has more skeletons than the other people, especially when you lump in his friends. His skeletons are more fun than the generic sjw drama shit though

My kingdom for a "horrifying" rating.

I've been going down the rabbit hole of these Down the Rabbit Hole videos, and I would love to see him tackle CA.

Fred turns out some lovely stuff too.

The Spoony video was a fucking treat.

A full CA one and maybe one on Doug, Mike and Linkara too (In a completely amazing perfect world) would be heaven.

I would pay through the nose for that shit.

Let's take Tony at his word: he did what he could to alert management, to no avail.

If there's anything the last hundred or so pages of this Exxon Val-Teaz Spill has corroborated, it's that if you're not in Chicagoland and your name is not Douglas Darien Walker, p/k/a That Guy with the Glasses...management ain't gonna listen to you. This was accepted as fact when the first wave left. What did he think was going to work differently?

I wouldn't be surprised if they asked Luke to ask his dad for them, so he just didn't and reported back as "yeah, dad said no." I would have.

Brad has TONS of skeletons, especially if you ever followed the Cinema Snob Sucks blog. Difference here is they are all personal within his friend group thing that have never spilled out, so they aren't really big deals. Mostly getting into fights with friends over girls and such.

Regardless of potential veracity, that blog is Death Valley salt.

Yeah, I disagree strongly with the mindset that Brad is some angel. He just doesn’t make any of the weird bullsht in his life public the way that everyone else does.

Brad isn't a saint, nor has he ever really portrayed himself as such, he seems more honest than the others which is why I like him, and a lot of his drama is bullshit among a friends group.

Yeah, I've always felt the exact same why, that's why I pointed it out. While the blog I shared obviously has some heavy bias, it does show screenshots with proof for the "drama" that goes on in his life, but it's the same drama the average human has so it's not a big deal.
