There's a noticeable distinction between preying on a nearly grown college-aged woman with the means to properly tell CA fuckheads where to shove it and the same CA fuckheads abusing literal elementary school children.

As listed earlier in the conversational thread, it's still creepy and I don't condone it, but there's a pretty big difference in severity between the two.

What you still got here is grown men with some authority and fame, no matter how pathetically limited it is, preying on teen girls 10+ years their junior taking advantage of the implicit trust fans tend to have in those they admire. That they are "nearly college aged" doesn't mean they aren't still teens and aren't still kids.

It sounds like Kuriboh may not have preyed on these girls but he sure as hell helped Psyguy do it.

I remember that. Apparently LittleKuriboh's parents burned him something fierce because he's bisexual and he had a phase in his life where he would sleep around to validate his sexuality or something like that.

It should be noted that the person who gave their testimony in the Google document states that they were 18 at the time of the incident, but felt that they had a much younger state of mind due to emotional issues. So it's possible that whoever this producer is wasn't doing anything technically illegal, but was definitely engaging in scummy, predatory behavior.

The SA thread on internet critics (which is full of people who really fucking hate LordKat and couldn't even talk about the recent Down the Rabbit Hole video on Spoony without it devolving into a hate-jerk on Jason, including Dan Olson bringing up the Magfest incident) said something today about not naming the predator because of how society treats accusers and how her name will be dragged through the mud. The forum mod (LorneKates or something, Phelous's web designer) is also very insistent about people not trying to find out who the predator is.

Which is really weak IMO since thanks to #MeToo, no one's gonna say shit about assault accusers, especially if the predator went after people under the age of consent.
