Except with that it wouldn't matter who did it. It's a major IP so of course it would do well on Kickstarter. The company he's with that's doing it though probably asked him to not say anything as it could damage the company and get the various IP's they're leasing pulled.

They won't be that nice in production, they have professional level jobs done on them, likely they got some of their early production greens and handed them off to commission painters to give them studio level jobs. I'm assuming they'll be better than the prepainted stuff wizards and Paizo stuff, but nothing close to the kickstarter stuff.

I also think they're pocketing a lot of that. Games Workshop only charges $40,000 to lease their IP to game companies, Street Fighter can't be that much more to license, even comics don't have to pay a lot of money to license the Street Fighter IP so either the company is over charging or Joe wanted them to which is a very Channel Awesome thing to do. You see that with so many of their members and ex-members.

I never thought he had enough on the ball to actually get something like this started including getting the licensing rights from Capcom. Street Fighter is a huge market and there's no way that they'd allow for something like this unless they literally got a large chunk of the profits. Since this company already owns the rights, that part is now taken care of.

Pissed Jose acting as the face means he's probably going to get a percentage of the take. With luck he'll have negotiated for a cut of the gross and not a cut of the net. It's like in movies, net profits are a fantasy. They don't exist.

But we're talking Joe here. I don't think he's that savvy.

Yes I respectfully asked to be removed. Didn’t write about it because I don’t need a pat on the back. Don’t want to make myself the focus, nor should I be. This is about grievances with the professionalism of a company that I don’t run or have any stake in.

I was made aware of this document a few days ago and I’ve finally finished reading. I’m troubled by many of the accounts. I’ve reached out to the Walker’s personally and encouraged them to address these concerns. I hope something positive can come out of this painful situation.
