Alright so I’ll eat my crow. I thought he would hit about $1000 at least including an “anonymous” 1k tip. That didn’t happen but apparently he got a last minute $100 tip. Did anyone see that happen on screen or did he just claim to get it?

You're welcome. He got the tip.

Edit: No wait @actually is right (next page). The difference is not $100. I guess some of us have a serious math-illness these days.

Absolutely. He could have made a big impact on his future. But showered titties and cake were stronger.

The only part about this that wasn't really mentioned by anyone on here or the twittersphere is that he did actually have dinner plans/reservations and to her credit, it sounds like Kat may actually be trying to make sure Phil gets some time away from "da streamin":

I'm doing a lot of stuff tomorrow like I said I'm going to my tax attorney to get my taxes done Oh going around doing very I think we're gonna have a nice birthday dinner and we're we were talking about two different places we're thinking about going it's very different from one of which is Japanese ramen and the other is Mediterranean food middle middle like middle eastern Mediterranean Greek food talk about two completely different opposites of the spectrum ah but uh you know we're debating we're gonna prep me at the car wash you know we're gonna do a bunch of stuff together Kat wants to get me something for my birthday she says we should go to a clothing store she wants to maybe get me some nice clothes or something and I'm like all right well maybe we'll see I have so many clothes the thing is that there's a lot of them are very old but I'm the kind of person I have problems letting go of stuff that's not like dilapidated so no lie I've got shirts in my closet that I haven't worn for like five six years and they're just sitting there but they're fine they're not dirty they're not worn out they're just in the closet she's like you don't wear that you get rid of them we'll get you new clothes that way like I'm like no all right you know these are still fine she's like no I want to get you know let's get go out on your birthday I'll buy you some clothes that look not no it's okay these are all right that's how I am I'm just that kind of that kind of guy where you know I don't I don't like spending money or going out and spending tons of money on clothing when I know I have clothing at home that's fine to give you an example all right I had the same pair of sneakers for almost 10 years I bought these sneakers right at the beginning of when I started uploading videos to YouTube

Now I'm not sure if the dinner plans were on that exact night, but part of me hopes that Kat talked him into going out somewhere. Maybe to a bar or a restaurant for a couple of drinks. Getting out and actually going somewhere with Kat is imho a far more productive thing for him to do than play another hour of PUBG in the hope that someone gives him some huge tip or more than likely gets another $50 and 6 subs that expire next month never to be renewed again.

So I'm still sort of half and half on his decision to not stream longer. He is in a desperate situation, there's no amount of conspiracy theories that will make me believe he doesn't have a serious tax bill waiting for him in a few days (the true & authentic backdated business registration is enough evidence for me).

So if he or anyone had to pick between pissing off his lady friend by making her wait longer to go out or to just make the most of the situation and have some fun while the clocks still ticking. I'd say picking the "have some fun" option is arguably the winner every single time. Like most people, he's never going to live in a world where bills and taxes aren't a reality of his daily life, so fuck it, go out and have some cocktails and have a good time.

What makes me even more adamant that he should've made the most of his birthday and gone out was that he revealed on his birthday that he'd tried curry for the first time in his life very recently.

DSP is sheltered as fuck and getting out and away from "da gamin" and "da consoles" and "da detractors" and "da backtaxes" is probably going to do him a lot better long term than sitting in the same room for another 16 hours banking on the remote chance that someone decides to tip him $1000. Even if he got that $1000 its not a significant dent in what he owes. Even if he got that $1000 he's never going to be in a situation where he doesn't have taxes or bills.

I think given his income has been declining over time, he's going to do it every single tax quarter, like he's already said.

A point of interest is that people were saying that if he went with a payment plan and missed a single payment he would be fucked. However, based on research this appears to be untrue. He would however get penalties for the missed payments and he would have to sign an agreement which would potentially put a tax warrant/lien on him.

If he did get a tax lien that would basically be, as the article I've linked below says "As bad as a bankruptcy":
“The impact a tax lien has on a consumer’s credit score depends on the consumer’s unique financial history, as well as the credit score model that’s being used,”
https://www.creditcards.com/credit-card-news/how-does-tax-lien-affect-credit-score.php

The other interesting thing I found when it comes to payment plans (at least state taxes, this doesn't necessarily apply for federal taxes) is that he may not even quality for a payment plan:
View attachment 421302
https://dor.wa.gov/file-pay-taxes/late-filing/delinquent-tax-collection-process

Note the "if you quality" part.

What's not really known is that these are state backtaxes with no malice or intent to defraud so its possible they are a whole lot more open to doing payment plans.

So the question here has really become, was Phil trying to raise money to bulk pay the entire back tax amount to avoid a potential tax lien? Is Phil being on a payment plan for his backtaxes actually just as bad as declaring bankruptcy in the first place?

Additional laws:
http://apps.leg.wa.gov/WAC/default.aspx?cite=458-20-217
http://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=82.32.210

However, things get even more confusing once you read more:

My understanding of this, is that if Phil were to not declare bankruptcy and sell the house, which is undeniably his primary way he could actually pay off these backtaxes the state government might say fuck you and send him a bill for the entire amount, even if he was on a payment plan previously.

There are very many ways to read into this entire situation, but it looks even messier than most people have claimed it is ("oh he can just go on a payment plan!"). It really looks like whichever way Phil walks, besides declaring bankruptcy will be a huge series of compounding events involving the IRS, the Washington Department or Revenue, banks, credit card companies, mortgage companies and a million other people all sending him notices to pay at once.

It would seem that if he actually agrees to a payment plan he is essentially fully tying himself to staying in the Renton Palace until he fully settles the outstanding tax amount and if he ever decided to sell the state government might decide to say "fuck you" and force him to pay the entire amount.
That tax attorney truly is the One detractor to rule them all......

The tax law says that if the tax department believes the tax payer is about to cease business the payment plan may be void and become all due at once. So Phil really has no option to stop streaming. If he gets banned from twitch he may really be acrewed, not having any money coming in and having to pay everything at once.

Also

Phil had a pair of shoes that lasted ten years? I suppose that makes sense since he only wears them for a couple of hours once a week to go grocery shopping.

I expect he would be screwed when he gets kicked out of Twitch, he will scuttle back to YT streaming for a bit but I doubt he will make enough money there to survive on.

So Phil at one point had well over 2,000 viewers from Cryaotic hosting him, and instead of taking advantage of this opportunity to salvage his failed birthdayweek pitybucks fundraiser and perhaps gaining some new fans, he quickly ends the stream and leaves a lame "some things are more important than money, dood" message, presumably because he has to spend time with Kat. Really? He spent 12 hours streaming, the whole fucking day was all about him and the only time Kat was even brought up was when Phil was DEVOURING the cake, so that's bullshit. It's not like he even came close to his own goal, either. Phil is terrified at the thought of actually having to entertain people that are not already part of his cult because he knows he can't do it. He doesn't care at all about growing his channel, he just wants to squeeze as much as he can out of what remains. Can't wait to see how he tries to spin this one. I'm gonna guess when he "finds out" how much he owes, he's going to say it wasn't as much as he thought it would be and he raised enough to pay it off, wow guys thanks for saving mah house, quietly sweeping this under the rug and hoping his fans believe him until the next time he has to beg.
How did he end the stream? Personally, I would have let everyone know that they showed up at the tail end of the stream, but that I was going to play a few more games so as not to leave them high and dry (make them feel special). Finish those games, then thank everyone for the support, thank Cryaotic and his fans specifically for giving me a try (show appreciation) and let them know that it is currently my birthday and unfortunately I had plans with my significant other that can't be broken (family to feed lol). Then I let everyone know what my plans are for the next stream (maybe they'll come back). Also maybe tweet Cryaotic thanking him again for sending folks over, even if it was for the lulz (sit down, be humble).

Phil needs a coach. Maybe someone could pipe instructions to him through DM or an earpiece while he streams like he's a news anchor or something.

A dude who has been struggling all week to hold 300 viewers on his main stream, decides to kill his stream when he has over 2,000 viewers. Stupid, moronic, idiotic. Nope, none of those words even come close to his level. I would have grabbed me a red bull or 2 and streamed through the night.

I'm thinking that Phil was scared of having that many viewers trained on him all of a sudden. He's on probation right now so more viewers means a higher chance a Twitch higher up is going to scrutinize him. This "not about the money" bullshit is just him trying to seem like he does it for the games instead of the funding of his lavish lifestyle, but that probably shows how on edge he really is if he's turning down more views than he's had in recent history and all the potential extra cash.

If Phil was willing to listen to somebody else tell him what to do as a genuine human being (as opposed to people on chat telling him how to play video games because he can't figure out literally anything), he wouldn't be in this position to begin with.

This... this sentence triggers me really hard for some reason.

Even according to him, HE BEGS EVERY DAY, EVERY STREAM, MAKES UP EVENTS SO HE CAN BEG EVEN HARDER, STOPS THE GAMEPLAY AND QUESTIONS THE VIEWER, CALLS HIM OUT WHY HE DID NOT SENT HIM THE MONEY HE PROMISED (he said something like he is not a real man, cause he did not keep his promise)..

AND THEN HE SAYS THING LIKE THAT? I hope his house will burn down soon.

I think he was just a coward. He got scared of possible trolling, thats why he closed the stream. Fuck this guy, seriously.

If he spent half as much time on actually improving what he does and listening to feedback as he does on trying to weed out hidden detractors and trying to untangle conspiracy theories he might actually do a bit better.

If he spent a fucking tenth as much time on improving and reacting to feedback instead of the amount of time he spends blocking people on Twitter, banning people on Twitch and deleting threads on his own forums then he'd probably be a streaming mogul by now.

But instead he'll ignore any sensible advice because of "da algorithms" and "da interaction".

Its like he really fully believes he's ever going to be able to one up the trolls and ever be able to preemptively strike. If Patrick and Brenda Bronsgeest and cardboard dicks in the post are anything to go by, then trying to proactively stop trolling is like pissing up a flagpole.

I guarantee his next prestream involves him trying to explain why he left. When, in reality, he doesn't really need to explain anything. If you're done, you're done, but Phil can't just do something he has to some how spin it in a way where there has to be a specific reasoning. Only reason people are surprised is because he has created this situation where people believe that he needs every penny he could get. If a friend of mine spins me this tale of how hard up he is and needs money and keeps borrowing it from me and one day I say "My friend needs some help baling hay, says he'll pay you 250 for the weekend," and the guy tells me "That sounds like a lot of work, I usually go to the bar on Saturdays" then yeah, I'm going to question whether or not he actually is in need of money.

This is true. If he truly considered this a business he would get some help though. It is obvious that he doesn't understand customer service, and entertainment is a service industry. I used to work at a new car dealership and we had a guy on the payroll whose only job was to teach salespeople how to interact with people and make them feel like they've gotten what they came for. Under Promise, Over Achieve. Even if Phil was hospitable to the raiders it wouldn't matter at all anyway. His mods, who are basically the representatives of a streamer's chat, are garbage and alienating. Can you imagine how many of Cryaotic's viewers would have been banned for asking simple questions they obviously didn't know?
"Why is he talking about taxes?" Banned
"Why does he keep snorting?" Instabanned

You guys have got it all wrong. Phil is a member of the Professional Video Game Streamers Union and if he streams outside of his scheduled times or doesn't take his mandatory breaks there are heavy fines and he could be kicked out of the union. Its not his fault. Nothing he could do.

Phil did say during his PUBG stream he might have to let taxes go unpaid if he doesn't get all the money.

It wasn't a single tip. He got a number of smaller tips ($10, $20, $5, etc) during his final match and did one last update to the total. It was like $89 in tips that he added up.
