Obviously the fanbase wasn't going to be in the know, but the entire point of the problem now is "Yeah literally everyone hated them and knew what a shit show this was...", they all talk specifically about a movie shoot from 2012. What the fuck are you even getting at? Literally the entire point of these confessions and that document is "We all knew, we all knew all along...".

The entire premise of Channel Awesome is becoming void. If they don't have anyone besides Nostalgia Critic and Brad, why even bother? It's barely worth its hosting costs now.
Michaud must be utterly terrified because he has almost nothing left to be the CEO of. His only saving grace is that Doug is too stubborn and committed to go independent and open a Patreon.

At this point I am just baffled that no one made a clip of the german movie Downfall, with Hitler ranting as stand in for Michaud or Doug.

like other posters are saying, none of these ppl expected the doc to get as many eyes as its getting, which is sort of why its gettin the eyes that its getting, it happened organicly and doesnt come across as a power play or act of revenge
not to mention metokur inadvertantly paved the way, which helped lend credibility

You have it backwards, none of them thought to contribute to it until Marzgurl and Lupra shit got heat. Then the dominoes all started falling once it blew up.
They wenr public on like the 15th, around that time. People didn't start fleeing the sinking ship for a solid week after that. It was already a big deal by that point, with both Marz and Lupa getting tweets and Tumblr asks about "I'm mad that _____ hasn't left if things are that bad!", with it having then been understood that, again, everyone knew how shitty the situation was and had been.

Michaud probably won't give a fuck as long as he has Doug to bring in the dough. I think him and Walkers know, that with Mike owning the Nostalgia Critic IP both parties are in an akin to MAD relationship.

its not the same thing as that guy in your youtube video described, this isn't people being opportunistic and hopping on the bandwagon, it's just lots of little things that built up and was able to eventually all find one another.
none of these accusations on their own would've been damning because these people arent exactly the most trusted of people to begin with and they know that, which is why its only coming out now

I think Doug could get control of the Nostalgia Critic IP if he weren't a total doormat. Michaud is in a weaker position because he has nothing to fall back on and has no reason to hold onto the IP besides spite because it has no value to anyone but Doug.
If Michaud did want money, Doug could open a crowdfunding campaign to buy it. Michaud isn't in a position to ask for an extortionate amount.
I know that's not bulletproof logic, but it doesn't have to be when all the parties involved are weak, irrational personalities.

the best thing doug could do is apologize for his hubris and create a new IP and bring his fans with him

Actually, if Doug spins it in a right way, this could work. Right now barely any accusations are directed towards him specifically, all the hate is towards Michaud. Doug could easily start a crowdfunding campaing to "save the Nostalgia Critic IP and give it back to the people" (or some similiar bullshit), painting Mike as a villain. His most spergy fans would eat it up.
I wouldn't even be surprized if that would happen with Michaud's blessing. As you've said, he's not in a position to negiotiate, getting a reasonable amount of money to safely jump the ship and be done with all the fuss might be enough to peacefully get rid of him as a CEO.
Then again, all of that might be possible if Doug had a spine. That or Rob takes the initiative.
