Whew I've been a long time lurker (I'm a girl pussy and you people are scary) and to be honest KiwiFarms has that "illegal shit" vibe and apparently you people like to dox the fuck out of people? I genuinely hope that you all have some form of goal of justice and only go after the most nasty depraved assholes, scammers, pedos/dogfuckers and not eat each other alive?
First off welcome to the farms. You don't really need to worry all that much.
KF doesn't really do anything illegal - information gathered is stuff you can find just by knowing what to look for. We all leave a digital footprint online to a degree, most people will have fairly mundane ones or make sure posts with sensitive info are hidden away. Is it personal and possibly sensitive? yes but it's also not illegal as it's in the public domain.
"Lolcows" are different. They are people who usually live on a social media platform, bitterly yelling at others or blaming others for their mistakes. Or they may sadly be cases like Chris-Chan, where the people who should of been their guiding lights utterly failed them when they needed it most (and only an extreme intervention will likely solve their behavioural issues) - heck those threads will usually be full of solid advice for those people that everyone knows sadly they will never take.
In a sense basically Kiwi's just like People watching because their subjects are interesting like a never-ending soap-opera.
As with most "Boogiemen" sites that have existed over time such as Encyclopedia Dramatica or Something Awful - people usually only document people who have themselves built poor reputations. There are occasionally the odd case of people who think their personal beef with someone else is interesting or are more envious than anything else. But nobody cares unless it turns out they generally have a history of creating drama.
It's quite easy to avoid ever being a Kiwi target. Try to be the best person you can be every day, be savvy about what you share publicly online and where, and be willing to reflect and grow as a person. Then anyone who creates a thread about you is likely to find it dies quickly because there's no content to keep the thread interesting (granted it's not as easy as "delete everything" - we all know how easy it is to delete and set up new identities as PK/Glip did)
Also if you want your credibility to be a little higher in the future when you want to take a pedo etc down, you might want to tone down on the racist N~ and J~w and tran~ny slurs shit because those are their to-go reasons for not trusting KF. This thread seems tamer because it's mostly former fans and at least it made it an easier readthrough for me, but it was painful to read though the coolbreeze88 loser without reevaluating why the fuck am I here.
We're a varied mix of people from all over the world and from various walks of life. While generally discouraged to discuss ourselves - you would be surprised to find the sort of people who post here. People also have different Lolcows that interest them too so threads can be wildly different from each other in vibe because of that diversity in opinion/ life experience/ culture ect. There's threads I don't like but I just sort of leave them to it, it'll keep going for those that do enjoy that cow, or get boring quick and eventually die out.
Not to mention the neckbeard idgaf outfits at anthrocon. I'm starting to think that those types of aged-cum-stained furries are autist as fuck, and is it just me or do these sicko pedos or dogfuckers always turn out to be furries?
The Furry community has always been a magnet for drama and exceptionally bad behaviour. Most furries in general just like rolling with their weird kinks and don't generally really bother anyone outside cons ect.
There's a lot of people where the world just doesn't make sense to them (nor do they make sense to the world), but the tight-knit sub-communities work out and while it's weird as heck, good on em (if it isn't illegal). It's not always autism mind, quite a few furries are disabled, and it's a comfort for them to have an identity where they don't have those issues.
Also yes it attracts people who use the identity to mask harmful behaviours, and PK + Eevee both as vulnerable people from abusive households sadly because prey to people in that community
Personally while I recognise PK and Eevee have rotten attitudes, digging into their history also makes you understand how and why that happened, which yeah....it's sad because both of them are quite talented in their own ways. A whole bunch of people in this thread have often said they liked PK's older (non-porn) work - and she *is* a good artist when she puts the effort in and doesn't stretch herself thin. Before the new allegations this thread was mostly just people bemoaning that Floraverse in general had almost completely lost direction. It also really hit a motivation rock-bottom just after they hit the pateron goal to make Floraverse a weekly comic.
But they both can't really deal with people, they lash out when critique happens. They don't really have real friendships, mostly hangers on or people they keep around as useful.
Both PK and Eevee need proper help to come to terms with what happened to them. They've tried to justify what happened to themselves in a screwed up way that makes them think it's fine to expose others to material they are too young to deal with. Because to admit it's wrong means admitting what happened to them was genuinely fucked up and not beneficial in any way. That said easy to say, harder to do - they need to want that help to begin with, and they don't.
Marl is less understandable and have far less empathy for. I'm sure he's screwed up for a reason, but he chose to stay in a relationship that clearly he wasn't happy about and took that out on innocent animals and kids.
