TGWTG "Nostalgia Critic" / Doug Walker, Rob Walker, Mike Michaud, Mike Ellis, Holly Christine Brown, et al - The Incompetent Predator-Protecting Upper Management of Channel Awesome, Doug Still Not That Funny

At this point his being there doesn't matter. If it's just Brad and Doug, there's no reason for the network to exist.
Dont forget Sizzling Santiago. I don't think he's going anywhere at this point, but honestly It might not make a difference since most of his audience has migrated to youtube. At least that would explain why most of his recent videos barely have any comments on CA.

Look at their prior work history and work ethic. For example look at Doug’s departure from his last full time job. Look at Michaud’s. I’m betting if we go back and look at James Rolfe or the Rooster Teeth guys we would find prior employers that would hire them back in a second. Prior bosses that are proud of what they accomplished. And that’s the true sad thing about Channel Autism. They seemed to collect everybody else’s worst employees. Not their best. Like finds like, and then the wheels come off.

Here's a great question: what was it about Channel Awesome that caused this to happen? And what I mean is, how did one website manage to attract a whole bunch of autists, weirdos and just exceptional lolcows? With almost every other website similar to CA, you'll find some cows. But you'll also find a lot more normal people as well.

But with CA that was never true. Practically everyone at CA was a cow. Almost all of them fit into the category of the standard rejects of society that found a voice on the internet. How did one website manage to reel in so many of these humans to represent their website?

I don’t think she’s that old. She just hasn’t aged well. That greasy bleached hair makes her look like your late 50’s Aunt.

Oh you mean the video? Yeah that was posted yesterday.
Wow, she's really uncomfortable doing this. That vague waving her hands around for emphasis is a crutch and it's usually more apparent when somebody feels they need to give more to what they're saying.

A little is good, too much is bad.

People are losers and asspies, some asspies and losers have camera, and the mid 2000's was an opportune time for some losers and asspies to capitalize on a growing market of making loud noises and 'angry' faces to make the rest of them feel like they had friends.

Your average CA isn't necessarily a "cow" as much as they are just your average 'older than they should be' loser. People just a little too old to be in that comic shop or Gamestop, that friend of a friend you don't really talk to, but see around and they're just kind of floating around, not really up to much. Channel Awesome is essentially a real-time Up documentary about "those kids" you remember from school than you expected to not amount to shit.

I'm holding out hope that the 10th anniversary script gets leaked. On Twitter, Tony "Some Jerk with a Camera" Goldmark said he received the third draft and implied it was a horror parody. We can see if Doug has gotten any better since To Boldly Flee, or if it mostly consisted of Chris Stuckmann raping Tony Goldmark while Film Brain jacked off watching.

I think the only certainty would be Malcolm making lots of 'black guy dies first' jokes.

But... but... according to the IMDB reviews the movie is a real masterpiece!

"This is probably the best comedy I've seen in a while, if not that then the best comedy I have ever seen. (...) The big turn-off for you may be the run time and yes it is long. But I felt that not a second was wasted or thrown away in this movie."

The movie is listed as 3h 29min long. Holy shit.

That poor bastard sounds like they've seen less movies than Tamera.

How are they honestly going to film an anniversary special when they have so few content creators left on the site? Given all the drama that's ensued the past few week's, they can't even have former contributors that left the site over the years comeback for it given how terrible the relationships are between everyone.

This anniversary special was cancelled on account of all the content creators jumping ship. Per Goldmark, only eight were involved because CA wanted it to be a smaller affair. The only confirmed participants beyond the Chicago crew were Goldmark and Stuckmann. A part was written for Linkara, but he opted out early.

They thought every second of the movie was used productively. I have less than zero sympathy for that person, whether they've seen one movie or one hundred thousand.

IIRC, To Boldly Flee was originally 4 hours long but they revised it down both during production and in editing. So Doug did, in fact, believe that TBF would be hurt if he cut another second.
