TGWTG "Nostalgia Critic" / Doug Walker, Rob Walker, Mike Michaud, Mike Ellis, Holly Christine Brown, et al - The Incompetent Predator-Protecting Upper Management of Channel Awesome, Doug Still Not That Funny

I'm still curious as to why Brad hasn't jumped ship yet, I know he's friends with Doug and Rob but so many other people who have jumped ship like Lewis were too.
It's possible Brad sees leaving Channel Awesome as a betrayal to Doug. He seems uniquely invested in the idea of loyalty, particularly after his drama with ex-buddy Jake, so quitting CA, for him, might come across as abandoning Doug and telling him he doesn't support his livelihood. Whereas other producers, like Lewis, have a better understanding of the fact you can get along with somebody without feeling obligated to go down with their ship.

I beg your pardon?

I've noticed that some of the remaining members like Brad and Masakox have posted new videos in the past couple of days, yet they haven't showed up on the CA website. Kinda funny that they have the time to remove the members that leave, yet can't be bothered to post the videos from the members that are still (for now at least) here.

Why would you want to promote your pony shit in a serious document meant to talk shit about CA's management?

I mean, aside from :autism:?

Maybe this is all a part of Mike's plan- Not update their pages on the site to falsely accuse them of not uploading content and kicking them off. That or the amount of ship jumpers has turned their priorities onto making them non-entities on the site that they forgot that "Oh right, we still have contributors."

I don't watch Masakox, but historically haven't Brad's videos always been up for a couple days before showing up on the CA website? He wants to drive traffic to his own website and YT channel first, before viewership is divided by the presence of his videos on CA too.

Hello all, created an account just for this specific topic. I'm pretty sure Brad is staying with CA out of loyalty to his friendship with the Walker Brothers. I've heard from multiple people previously associated with CA that he is one of the most loyal people they know. While loyalty is a great quality, it really saddens me that Brad cannot separate his career/business from his friendship. He has so much talent, he easily was (and now is) the most talented, original person on that site. Hopefully being associated with CA won't bite him in the butt in the long run, but if he wants to stay on a sinking ship, that's his choice.

Possible, apparently Doug and Brad are/were recently on good terms, considering Brad was shooting a movie in September with Doug and Linkara.
(be warned about a fucking bird squaking in the background from time to time)

Right, I completely forgot the whole thing with Jake and Rayn. That would be enough to give anyone a betrayal complex, and past substance abuse wouldn't make matters any better (if I remember correctly, Brad has admitted that he was coked out of his mind while they were filming the pilot to Pop Quiz Hotshot 16 times).

how come he hasn't been trialed on substance abuse yet?

It's not illegal to say you've had drugs in the past. The thing is you need to be caught doing them in order to be charged for it, hence random drug tests at most jobs. Plus if you told a cop that you've done drugs, then he's pretty much going to search you.

In order for Brad to be tried for it, he'd need to be caught with it first.

I'm not well versed on Illinois law so I can't say for certain but I'd imagine that admitting to having used drugs in and of itself is not illegal, only if you get caught having possession of them.

Not being a smartass, but where did you hear this? Can you remember? I believe Brad has a seizure disorder and...just sayin', Brad seems like he's smart enough not to mix seizure medication with coke.

I can't find the exact statement anymore, it was floating around a few years ago but seems to have been purged from the internet.

This is one of the most autistic things I've read, amazing.

I think they're in full damage control mode, and a little preoccupied trying to keep the people they have left on the site instead of focusing on posting content. It sounds about incompetent enough to be a Mike Michad move

He did!

Look what I just found...

What could that possibly mean Mike?

I find this hard to believe considering people who worked with Mikey who stated that his time at Circuit City was akin to Leonard F. Shaner Jr's time at Sears. From what I've heard Mikey was a very difficult employee who was very rude to customers and indignant towards the majority of his fellow employees. There were at least two documented incidents of Mikey forcing customers to wait for two hours to get their products and being very rude when they complained about the wait and the fact the product Mikey brought up wasn't what they ordered.

Thanks, I for the life of me couldn't find anything since I suck at Googling things.

Still, I could've sworn he said at some point that he was on cocaine while filming Pop Quiz Hotshot.

The post I read was that he was spoofing Stephen King's response to Maximum Overdrive, but given it was anonymous sources I'm taking it with a grain of salt
