Wow! And yet the angry mob seems to have not yet realized that Holly was Channel Awesome's HR! She knew ALL of this! She would have had to have been neck deep in the response back then. Heck it is likely the accusations that CA acted on came through her. This wasn't Michaud breaking this via those chat logs. A pox on all their houses, save the poor girls messed up by all of them who were forced to keep silent for 5 years.

I would love to read all this and blame the Walkers, i hate Doug's face, i hate his brother, the owner sounds like a complete hack. But most of these complaints seem to rely on the readers ignorance of the contributors awareness of knowing what they signed up for, or in the case of the lower tier of contributors, having grandiose expectations. Kinda like a forum admin having to constantly justify their actions to excitable noobies, i get the feeling the Walkers are falling victim to the way they cultivated their contributors.
From my perspective, having watched this shit way too long, the actual clique at channel awesome centered around Lindsey/Todd/Lupa and anyone less popular than Brad, the mid-card if you will. These were the same people starting all the drama for years and they're the same ones pushing this document. So to see these people complain about cliquey or toxic behavior now seems laughable. If anything, i think the Walkers humored them to their own detriment by dropping popular "acts" like Spoony or engaging in some of their social politics (which is really being down played as one of the contributing factors of their viewership drop).
The way i'm seeing it currently is that the real clique at Channel awesome shit the bed and bailed cause there is no monetary light at the tunnel for them anymore so they're blaming it all on the Walkers and Doug's financial dom for a last bid at relevancy and moral grandstanding. The lesser tier are just being used for filler cause Channel Awesome didn't meet their expectations. All sour grapes. The document is in heavy need of citations and nobody should be taking it at face value in my opinion. I mean watch the shit fling by all means but i just personally don't take these accounts that seriously judging by who they come from and their intents.

How fast the mood whip-lashed in this situation is seriously mind-boggling. First we have the first anonymous accuser who claims she was groomed despite being over the age of 18. Everyone thinks it's sort of creepy, but not illegal. Then we have Mike fuck up in two ways:
1. He leaves in all the identifying information for us to determine it was Justin by leaking the chat logs, a well-liked member of the Channel Awesome community who infamously committed suicide.
2. The situation he posts about is a different Jane Doe.
After that, we have that Jane Doe comment about her situation on Reddit, wherein she alleges that Justin raped her while unconscious, which former HR Holly Brown states is true, and that the staff of Channel Awesome including herself were aware of what happened. Regardless of whether the second Jane Doe's claims are true or not (which by my perspective, seem to hold some water), if they saw it fit to fire Jew Wario over this, why did they cover it up and lie about the situation regarding his termination? To protect the brand? To protect Jew Wario?

It's already collapsed under it's own weight. Channel Awesome as a web site is dead. At best it is now a few individuals with their own Youtube channels. It's been terminal for years.

This is quite possibly the most glorious trash fire I have yet to encounter during my entire time on the internet. It just keeps going, and going, and somehow keeps getting worse as the time passes!
As much as I am enjoying the CA management hunkering down and waiting for their world to end, the oncoming shit storm that's bound to happen when all the contributors who added to that 'Not So Awesome' start tearing each other to shreds over the Justin accusations is going to be fucking amazing!
It's like witnessing a black hole of autism being birthed right before us! By the time this saga ends a bunch of these idiots could be dead, or on the run!

Because to do anything else or say anything else is Defamation and they would be sued. There is a very very real reason that Business almost never discuss HR matters or actions, unless Law Enforcement has confirmed something and prosecuted. Michaud said that they immediately brought their lawyer in. We don't know if they had anything to bring to Law Enforcement. Chances are no only the girl herself could do that. In truth legally and ethically Channel Awesome would have had only a handful of options. Remember Justin, like the bulk of the CA autists was not a regular employee. He wasn't a contractor. He was a media partner. Really the only legal and ethical options the CA management would have had would be to quietly kick him to the curb. If they had clear direct evidence of a crime than give it to the DA. Otherwise they really had no other options. Spilling Defamatory Dirt gets you sued. This is why former employers can and will only ever verify dates of employment, and nothing else. Even if you shot up their offices all they are allowed to say is "He worked here from X to Y" They can't even editorialize it by saying that you "quit or were terminated without notice". It's horrible, but it is the sad truth of the world we have created.

If Lupa did indeed ignore this lady, it may well have been because she couldn't verify the source. The fact that Holly is seeing to this now is good though, in terms of getting the truth out. I can imagine that in the wake of #MeToo there'd be a lot of false allegations to sift through from randomers just trying to stoke the fire. Gonna give her the benefit of the doubt until more information comes to light, I think.

I certainly never anticipated that all of the angry spergs who fantasised about this kind of reckoning 9+ years ago because they hated Doug Walker (or whoever) would get their wish.
