If the furry fandom ever adopts a motto, my suggestion for it would be “oh no! You weren’t supposed to find that!“

And your right on this. You’d think at some point furries would say “hey guys, maybe it’s US that’s the problem here”.....

Furries are still trapped in the mid-late 2000s DeviantArt kid mindset where all the trolls are the cause for their bad reputation, and not their own behavior. They want the world to be accepting of them, without realizing why most of the world laughs at them or bothering to improve.

Furthermore, FWA hasn't addressed this, despite bragging about how 5193 furries showed up, making it one of the biggest cons meaning more eyes are going to be on them.

Can't tell if your question was serious, but yes. It was in a separate room for the more adult-themed stuff, including an adult diaper vender. if a dealer's den (let alone just in general) has porn in it, it's one but usually all three of the following;

a: separate
b: you need a tag just to get in
c: constantly has someone looking out for your bullshit by the door

ghosting (not registering) happens at cons, but most of them require you to register (aka DROP WADS) in order to buy shit in the dealer's rooms. i've been to conventions and sometimes there's a completely other room for the porn booths.

it's really not that big of a deal, i'm pretty sure people sell world of warcraft porn at fantasy conventions. furry is oversexualized, but selling porn at conventions isn't unique to them

So CaliFur is suffering the same fate as RainFurrest. But strangely, I never heard of any drama or problems coming out of the last CaliFur. What happened to make them have $20k in fees? What attack?

They're being very closed off on information that's important and a lot of people are clearly pissed that they don't even have a chance of getting their registrations refunded when the con may not even find a place to be hosted at. The blatant con mismanagement lately at multiple (major) conventions is amazing.

It's better than that. Casey and some other AltFurs called the hotel and harassed the venue to try and get the panel shut down, and yet they have a babyfur in a leadership role in the group now.

from what i heard is that califur has been dying slowly. staff doesn’t care, vendor issues, hotel issues, etc.
unlike rainfurrest, califur just sucked so bad that it killed itself without having the typical furry shit parade.
