I can sort of see it from the point of view of management in that after consulting with a lawyer, the best they could do without the victim's testimony was give him the chance to leave on his own free will rather than publically fire him (and have people investigate the reason) and forbid anyone from working with him. And we can also say that most of his friends had no idea about it and CA's management let the ones closest to him make the tribute videos so they have closure.

However, now we know that it was a bit of an open secret even among them but nobody wanted to say a thing, in some weird way, Michaud somehow did the right thing.

Its kinda like a Michael Jackson situation, where people pretend to now care for someone and that "they were always their biggest fan!", even though before then they probably never gave him any thought or didn't like him outright.

I hope April keeps Spoony out of this. I don't think he'd have anything fruitful to add and with his apparent state of mind it would just drive him further down the pit of despair.
