It gets worse.
I dug through the leaked documents some, and the implications are staggering. Most notably, Bob Chipman is now no longer the only content creator to have completely destroyed his career over Gamergate.
Short version is thus: When GG happened, Olson (who already had monetary ties to Quinn, coincidentally enough) immediately rallied the rest of the Chez Apocalypse crew and attempted to force the rest of Channel Awesome to take a stand against that evil Gamergate. This drove a gigantic rift through the community, turning content creators against one another and alienating a gigantic chunk of CA's userbase.
This is a man who was fired for dragging his ideological beliefs into his workplace, submitting his co-workers and management to constant ideological purity tests and demands that they take his side or be called misogynists and having people declare that they hated women. They fired his ass because he made working at CA a fucking nightmare, barely created any content (he didn't release any videos for 9 fucking months after GG began, but constantly posted on the forums, Twitter, and SA), and led constant witch-hunts against other content creators on the site.
After he was fired, he was of no further use to CON, so they blocklisted his ass. All evidence given this is that he used Laurelai - and not the other way around.
He's within striking distance of being the most loathsome figure in GG's opposition.

I think the article may need a little editing. Dan was not on the website while JW was alive. He might have found out about the abuse after the fact and partook in the silence, but the way the article is written suggests he knew about that while Justin was alive (he joined in August of 2014, 7 months after JW shot himself and over a year and a half after JW left the site).

She works at the Calgary Drop In Center, at 1 Dermot Baldwin Way SE, Calgary, AB T2G 0P8, Canada, so he probably lives with her nearby. He technically didn't post it- the operation was that Lorelai something-or-other would post the CP, then Dan would download it and take screencaps to prove that 8Chan hosts CP.
(Ironically Lorelai found images that weren't illegal in the area that 8Chan's servers are hosted, but are in fact illegal in Calgary, where Dan lived at the time)

The RCMP talked to him and gave him a pass. Not sure the details. I guess he managed to convince them it was all above board journalism or something. Keep in mind Canada is one of the few countries in the world that considers drawn loli to be child pornography while simultaneously having the age of consent at 16.

Really hurts the claims Dan made which @CrunkLord420 posted. Even then, we all got a right to see Dan as full of shit just like how Dan and his followers have the right to think Mombot should be sued for slander.
In regards to firing him, not only would JewWario still have fans, he would of been like Spoony or MikeJ in still making some sort of content. Even if CA did cut off JewWario, the guy still has internet access and recording equipment. He could go back to making videos of import Japanese games and still rake in followers who could donate him money on a Patreon.

Canada's pretty on-board with Social Justice, especially where Olson lives (basically the San Francisco Bay Area of Canada). He got reported for posting what *is* CP by the standards of Canadian Law, but if you thought they'd actually *act* on that shit you haven't been paying attention for the last few years.
The plan with Olson to do a sting operation against 8chan basically went as follows:
1. Dan approached Laurelai about it. Dan was a long-time SJWiki user so Laurelai quickly agreed since Dan was in CON and Laurelai absolutely wanted a piece of the pie when it came to power and e-fame.
2. Laurelai created the /hebe/ board, and set up an IRC channel on his personal website to try to honeypot. The idea is that they'd post some content (and wait for actual pedos to show up and post), then screengrab the content and give it to Quinn to report to get 8chan defunded.
3. Teams of Laurelai-watchers got wind of the plan due to Laurelai being involved; got evidence of it to GG supporters, then retreated to watch irony run its course.
4. Dan and Laurelai successfully get 8chan defunded using the evidence collected, but at the cost of Dan Olson being labelled a pedo and Laurelai getting nothing in return.
5. Laurelai turns on CON and friends.
6. Dan Olson is canned from CON having lost all credibility and his spot on Channel Awesome.

I know this pic has been posted and discussed before, but for me nothing more perfectly captures what an unpleasant person Dan is than this:
Look at how everyone else in that picture is reacting and then look at Dan. For those who aren't aware, I'll explain the context. This is Armoured Skeptic and sh0eonhead having lunch with Lindsay, hbomberguy and ContraPoints (dunno who the girl on the far left is but I assume she's on the SJW side of things). These two groups have diametrically opposed worldviews, but they're all managing to laugh and have fun together. It might just be an act for the camera, but that just makes this look even worse:

He can't even work up the ghost of a smile for the camera. People have described Dan as a zealot and I think that's very accurate.
