I love how is still misguidedly calling mechanics minigames. Its not a combat minigame anymore than the combat in a Batman Arkham game is a mingame, the word he's likely looking for is Quick time event (or QTE). This misnomer get funnier and funnier each time he uses it.

Minigames are generally speaking a divorce from the standard gameplay, Lucio Ball in Overwatch is a minigame, The slot machines in Gen 1 & 2 Pokemon were minigames, the Chao Garden in Sonic Adventure could be considered a minigame, Zork & Dead Ops Arcade in Call of Duty Black Ops were minigames, combat in a third person game with weapons and murder... is not a minigame (the fact that he thinks it is says a lot about his game design/developmental sense). Seriously, think about it in any other context, imagine Sega/Sonic Team saying "We added a ring collection minigame to Sonic", or Ubisoft "We added a free running minigame to Assassin's Creed", or Epic Games "We added a building minigame to Fortnite". Sounds stupid, doesn't it?

This shouldn't have to be explained to a "Professional" game developer.

If we kill the delinquents then there is no one guarding the incinerator anymore. I most likely won't use this account again, but the pain and shock I feel right now is immesurable. I feel like I have been stabbed in the heart.
