Christ, these two look like they could be related. They have the same vacant eyes and weird non-smile with huge teeth.

So only a talk... What was in her luggage? Lyophilized poutine sauce?

Now we'll have the lost luggage gofundme. :/
I would just be shocked if some very expensive electronics were in the luggage and they needed to get replaced despite everyone knowing to put expensive shit in carry-ons so it can't get lost, broken, or stolen.

Billy's life must be getting miserable if he's trying to string together this fantasy of nothing for as long as he has. Sorry you're aging like shit and getting old and bloated Billy, but that's life. Especially given you can't even be arsed to care for yourself with basic physical maintenance.

I feel like that second panel says more about the nature of their relationship than all the past comics combined. Sophie/Stephie with the slightly preadatory face, getting way too close to Frank/any male she’s interested in and Frank/rando guy clearly feeling uncomfortable.

You seriously think Bill gives a tenth of a shit about anyone's feelings beside his own?

Frank is so clearly uncomfortable at the thought of being a girl.

Ignoring the waking nightmare that being in a relationship with Stephie would be like on a day-to-day basis, I think this really betrays how Sophie thinks cis people view gender. Most people are pretty comfortable with their gender, and when asked this question, they would probably shrug it off and be like "if I was a girl, sure, I'd be gay for you, whatever" because they'd still be attracted to the same type of person if their genders were switched. Where it would get awkward for most people would be if their partner asked "would you still be attracted to me if I was a boy/girl?" Most people would say "no," with bisexuals being the only people that would be like "wouldn't even make a difference to me, lol."

A lot of cis people would view the hypothetical of them being the opposite gender as a curiosity, or a chance to fuck around and see how life is different for the other sex. There's a reason why cartoons and comics use a character getting gender bent as a trope. Sophie, however, cannot comprehend such a casual reaction to a question like this. She's so tied up in gender as her identity that when she writes a cis person being posed this question, they react like a trans person would if asked that question. They clam up and get uncomfortable. They feel put on the spot.

This is just another example to add to the "Sophie can't write for shit" example pile.
