Phil was in the early stages of the Bloodborne DLC got killed by a tough enemy and called his chat idiots for wanting him to play it.
Once things got a little bit hard he left the DLC and says its a waste of time.

Looks like the Redemption Run is in full effect. He is really, really salty right now.

Edit: "I'm tired of people comming in here making my life miserable, you're all just dickheads."

More edits: "Alright, basically I could beat the DLC right now but it would just be grind, grind, grind and I don't wanna do that:"

It's not just "well meaning kind people" though. Phil is also quite adept in exploiting shut-in teenagers who think that Phil is the ultimate "goal" in life to aim for, that any day now he'll announce that all the detractors are dead, his debt is gone and he can live happily ever after. None of them have actually experienced the hardships of life yet, and are gonna get smacked in the face HARD when they are struggling to afford food in college, all the while Phil is STILL in his Seattle house begging on every pre-stream to "pull your weight" and help him pay his bills/taxes, etc.

If he doesn't even attempt the DLC then this was made simply to annoy people. The only thing he could get "redemption" for is the DLC. Like it or not he did everything else last time. Granted he was overlevelled like a pussy. Knowing him though he's just doing it because he knows it'll get a reaction out of people. What better way to gain a quick surge than piss off autistic fandoms (and yes I include myself in this specific autism cloud).

He's essentially a shit celebrity, doing whatever it takes to stay relevant.

I don't think you realise of salty he was, he was almost to the point of voice cracks.
The recommended level for the DLC is 65, Phil is level 69.
Someone cheered him and said he should wait for level 80 which is hilarious because it's a challenge to reach level 80 by the end of NG.

I can believe it. Any real challenge and he falls apart quicker than anything I've ever seen. It's like he want to be pro in every game he plays.

Waiting to lvl 80 (I wouldn't be surprised if he did this) would render the run dead. Overlevelling killed his original playthrough, it'll kill this 1 if he does it again.

So I guess he'll do it again. Anything to piss off his viewers.

phil is the kind of guy that would take a year in prison over a day of community service

Can someone help me understand the benefit of trolling out gifted Subs to this guy?

I'm new to checking in on this forum, but from what I can tell just by casually checking in.... stuff like that is discouraged.

Is it just the joy in building up, just to watch it fall all over again?

It's a height of autism not seen commonly. The only thing I can think of is like you said maybe to see him struggle the next month. The biggest problem there is 1 or 2 gifted won't make a difference to him really. So the only way to do it well is to gift a shit load subs but all you're really doing is paying him. Yh, sure he'll suffer a little next month but whoever does it still helps him out that month.

So yh, autism is my best guess.

And of course the seeds he's planted for his extended time off, are going to be around the time the gifted Subs fall out. Somewhat saving him face by not streaming while his sub count drops back to the 410 range, and when back he will write the lose in subs on his time away from streaming, all while building up anticipation to the SF 30 anniversary collection, where he knows he will be streaming to a much bigger audience.

He only know one way of getting views and it is to abuse the system.
The 10 min videos was in order to make one person give him 10+ views daily, all the tag is just so no matter what you search for you will get his videos.

It has never been about creating something that attract viewers for him, it has always been him forcing himself up on others since he feels so overlooked and ignored in real life.

Phil's peak was around January 2011 then it started to crash, per Socialbalde's stats.

Youtube around when phil started was a wild west and really didn't have their shit down like they have today. Youtube started to really get kicked in the ass from what I can remember is the "Reply Girl" sega of drama then had a sense of realization when they found that people wanted to see good entertaining stuff rather than hot garbage so they changed their algorithm to push to that. I may be forgetting details but it was never youtube screwing him over. It's just phil being like a stubborn old man in an environment that was changing.

Phil is just way too stupid to understand something so basic even a child could understand.

No offence but this lore is a bit too deep. I think I only know one teenager like that. And he is very fond of lemurs. It's not the Norm as far as I know. Most people that support him more then likely pitty him. And why on earth would they want to be like him? Not many want to be an internet sideshow for a carrier.

Not really. I know what you are suggesting. But people on the internet are weird. Some people where drilling wells in africa to prove their point. Phil does come off as quite normal in comparison. The detractors are an amalgamation of many different people. In different communities. Most people are just hating on phil because it is entertaining. They laugh and lampoon him. While others scream in to a camera what a piece of shit he is and think that is impressive, and seem to have some genuine psychological problems. Phil does the mistake of labeling everyone as mentally ill detractors. And Even though there probably just is a handful. They do help phil a lot to even the score. It's not 2+2, not by a long shot.
