I'd argue that all of that stuff is justified by the evidence as he's capable of perceiving it. Chris went to a convention, had a crowd of people cheering for him. He's had people pay thousands of dollars for his discarded bullshit. He's been obsessed over by thousands of people for a decade. (Btw, according to alex.com, sonichu.com is in the top 14k websites in the US.)I'd also assume narcissistic personality disorder, or at least major traits thereof. He's got a big head and thinks he's significantly more important/famous than he really is.
Signing the Transformers, telling people to "shut up and buy my stuff" on Twitter, etc. He's extremely self-centered and it would certainly come out during even mild therapy.
Chris can't detect the nuanced differences between being laughed at, and being laughed with (and in fact, there's lots of evidence that'd even confuse a normal person in Chris' shoes, like borderline groupies at Magfest), so obviously he interprets it the wrong way.
But the attention is significant, to say the least.
See though, like @timtommy pointed out, he's not claiming any tangible sensations or anything like that. (Or nothing more than a shiver, anyway.)He's been claiming for a decade now that he could talk to his creations - Josh Wise simply exploited this vulnerability significantly.
Replace his stupid shit with, idk, talking about praying to godjesus on rosary beads or dipshits who believe in crystal healing, and it's basically the same thing.
Chris' dumb beliefs are funnier than most people's and way less socially acceptable than most people's, but not more insane than most people's.
