I'm addressing them as the team they're supposed to be according to phil. A physical transferable copy is the obvious way to go now that they are living together.

I mean, we have no evidence of her buying other games than God of War and Overwatch. Imo buying one or two copies of games isn't abnormal for couples. My partner and I both purchased Mario Odyssey for example, on release, as we were both excited for it. The situation isn't the same sure but it's what happens occasionally.

So she would have to play it on his console, in his mancave, where he's streaming 90% of the time.

Not only that but she'll have a growing hoard of almost every major title available whenever she wants outside of phil doing a redemption run. And even though the PS4 is Phil's main console and he returns every game he can, he almost certainly still has a considerable library of games available for her to play in the meantime. Probably far larger than the collections of most people.

Again, only on his console. Plus, if she's excited for a game let her play it when she wants? We don't even know much about her as a gamer other than Assassins Creed, Persona 5, Overwatch & now God of War I guess.

If she's going to play along with phil's scam of being a gf to a supposedly broke manchild gamer might as well start acting like it.

A lot to touch on with that post, so I'll address it all at once.

Kat is a stakeholder in their combined financial security. Her money should not be treated as completely separate from DSP's money. If his financial situation declines to the point that he cannot afford to maintain the shelter and transportation they currently have she will be severely impacted unless she proactively saves money as a precaution. She may not be able to work if she loses the ability to use that car; that would exacerbate the situation further.

If she blows through money on "fun" spending while only paying for the ways she increases their combined cost of living (e.g. her own phone, extra food and supplies, extra water usage, gas, her own auto and health insurance) she is being completely irresponsible. If she does it knowingly she's beyond stupid.

If you have two adults living together who make the same amount of money, they should each be paying for half of their cost of living. Neither should feel obligated to pay for the other's debt and discretionary spending, but they certainly can help if they feel the person is a good investment, for lack of a better way to put it at the moment- someone who they won't feel they wasted money on, someone who's likely to be a part of their life for a good long while.

If you have two people with a significant difference in income the way paying bills should be handled is less straightforward than 50/50 because one of them might not be capable of paying that much. To use the phrase again, if they don't think the person is a good investment they probably shouldn't throw all of their money at the cost of living. If they feel that way they also shouldn't be moving thousands of miles across the country to live with them with barely any property in tow. If they do that they're equally irresponsible- and possibly desperate as hell.

I think the separate games thing has a lot to do with Phil's paranoia. If he bought a game for "work" he could potentially use it as a tax write off. If Kat used the game for purposes outside of his work it would, in Phil's mind, illegitimize his business. This is why he "needs" two seperate internet lines etc. One is property of full adult CEO Mr. Burnell and one is for fun time Philly boy.

I'm not a businessman like Phil so I obviously am ignorant on the concept, but if one was to buy a game for $60 and another duplicate copy for $60 and claimed a business expense of $60 you still end up paying $60.

The way Phil understands the financial world is maybe correct in concept but poorly executed. Take his condo for example. In many cases buying is better than renting. By purchasing property he could potentially make improvements and increase the value and then sell it at a later date and make a profit. The condo was not on land he actually owned so he could not make any landscape improvements. He didn't own the building the condo was attached to and couldn't make any structural improvements. Those are two huge things people do when "flipping" properties. Instead he paid $120k for a 1 person apartment. I don't know the average rent rates in the Connecticut ghetto, but even at $1000 per month it would take 10 years to break even on his "investment". He chose to be forever stuck to this money pit because he was too smart and thought that renting was a waste of money.

I think the situation with Kat is pretty simple to break down: she was previously in a shitty life situation (most likely to do with her family) so she's desperate and sponges off of Phil. I am 99.9% sure that she is saving her money, no doubt secretly from Phil, and waiting until she has enough to GTFO of the Gout Castle.

If you buy something for work then give it away you may still be able to write the full purchase price off on your taxes without complaints from the taxing authories. If you sell it, even at a loss, you can only write the loss off.

If you give it away you have to be careful; you don't want the taxing authority to think you just bought it for your relative, significant other, or friend. It's best to identify the fair market value and sell it to them for that price in situations where you're concerned.

Phil said his days off are stressful. Was out with Kat from 10Am to 9pm. Had to do grocery shopping and other stuff. Wants a day off where he doesn't do stuff and can relax. Usually pays his bills sunday night. So only night of week he doesn't have a night time stream he pays bills instead of being with Kat.

Sounds like he hasn't learned anything from his time with Leanna.

This blew my mind. Where is he going that they apparently grocery shop for 12 hours? Because what else are they shopping for? He has no expendable income and we know Wal-Mart is not a permitted stop. Neither has any friends or family in the area to meet up with, and this requires that they eat out for two meals.

This is a great example of a Phil lie: He throws this statement out there for pity, but it makes absolutely no sense with what we have heard before. If he is actually out for 12 hours with Kat, it is because he is hanging out with her and spending money, then complaining he isn't lounging on the couch instead. And this narrative that he sits there with a stack of bills and pile of cheques every Sunday night... I'd like a picture of that, just like his 'here's what I look like working at my desk' pic.
