I wonder if NC is gonna end anyway or if the drama is going to seep into the newer episodes that weren't ones shot in advance before this went down.

I believe Malcolm and Tamara are recently on record saying NCs aren't shot in advance.
"Communication has been an issue and we've admitted to that definitely. And I think as a business for over 10 years, we have made mistakes," Doug Walker told Salon. "We definitely have. And it's something we're always looking to make better and we're always looking to grow and with the people that we work in-house with in studio, I mean, I have yet to hear any complaints. And they always talk about how much fun it is to shoot there and we have yet to hear anything bad, so I hope that means we're improving."
"I think it's something where, because people come to the site again to kind of get away from their problems and to laugh and joke and so forth," Walker told Salon. "I mean that can be done with a large community, it can be done with a small community, it can be done with a fan community, it can be done with professionals, it can be done by people starting out. I mean, we didn't go into this for money. I started doing this in my folks' basement. I started off as someone who wasn't professional. And I think that kind of creativity and that need to make people laugh and feel better can come from anywhere."
I don't think moving past this is going to possible. There may be the minor chance some spergs that fancy themselves reviewers might want to jump in and be willfully ignorant just to have a piece of the fabled Channel Awesome pie and Michaud would be all too willing to take advantage of this. He doesn't seem like a man that learns from his mistakes and this will just happen all over again. Anyone worth their salt in analyzing media isn't going to purposely taint their online reputation associating with them.
I think Doug marking his Facebook in the past tense with his association with the company is just a front to get people off his back. Channel Awesome was and will always be the Doug Walker show, granted that Doug in all his wisdom chooses to stick by Michaud. No amount of new blood to revitalize the site is gonna change that.

From hosting Christopher Hitchens to doing interviews for an actor of a D list internet celebrity, oh have the mighty fallen.
The Salon article is out, including quotes from Doug Walker and a number of the contributors in the Google Doc
https://www.salon.com/2018/04/22/the-triumph-and-tragedy-of-channel-awesome/
Here are Doug's quotes in the article:
Malcolm and Tamara were also quoted saying that their experience wasn't the one listed in the Google Doc - which is not surprising considering their working relationship with Channel Awesome and Doug is significantly different than that of the ex-contributors.
Also no explicit mention of Jew Wario
But Channel Awesome's legacy shouldn't be limited simply to the controversies over how it treated many of its employees. By taking so many obscure people and giving them audiences that ranked in the thousands upon thousands, they facilitated the development of a new type of media, and for this they deserve considerable credit.
Not surprised, considering the contributors more than likely never told them their grievances (which, why would they?). And all things considered, I doubt they ever even met the other contributors.Malcolm and Tamara were also quoted saying that their experience wasn't the one listed in the Google Doc - which is not surprising considering their working relationship with Channel Awesome and Doug is significantly different than that of the ex-contributors.
I could see Mike try to pull that bullshit. The only problem is whether or not he'll get off his ass from playing Xbox to actually go through with it.I think I've said this before in this thread but the only thing Doug and Rob can do to salvage their little empire is: completely throw Michaud under the bus, divorce themselves from Channel Awesome, create a new character that also does cringey video reviews.
The only things that could blow up in their face is if Michaud has his own damning evidence he can throw out there that would prove Doug and Rob's culpability in the BS and the whole Jewario affair. He could also try to sue them.

that salon article was terrible.
Would Malcolm being part of SAG be any indicator why they're treated better? I'm not 100% on how SAG works, but I'd assume being part of the guild "forces" CA to play nice to an extent
I'm inclined to think it's moreso because he is working directly under Doug (rather than making similar content and establishing his own brand). The SAG point aspect is interesting though, as that suggests he could be getting paid a crap ton for this gig. Based on light googling, depending on how the NC videos are classified as Malcolm could be making over $2,000 per week
