Actually the one who benefits the most from leaking that information about JewWario being a groomer is Channel Awesome. They "accidentally" blacked his name in a way so people could easily guess that it read "Justin", and it surely pulled the public discussion away from the topic how shitty CA treated their producers.
Damaged a lot of people once we started to find out how many knew of it and when they knew about it. Even non CA affiliated reviewers knew it went on but not to the degree that recently came out.
He was on both. Of note is the fact he was fired from Channel Awesome due to GG-related activity/negative publicity/Michaud wanting to keep the vibes of CA politics-free, which was the catalyst for Lindsay and Kyle to leave the site as well.
He joined the Chez Apocalypse clique first and that got him into Channel Awesome for a time (about one year during which he produced 6 episodes), until he was dropped for distributing CP, trying to drag Channel Awesome into Gamergate and being an all around liablity. Lindsay Ellis defends him to this day though, even in the #ChangeTheChannel document.
You can get a SAG membership through a lot of interesting ways, hell Mike Rowe, the host of dirty job from discovery channel got his by being involved in the opera singers guild, but I forget how that worked out.

If that article shines some light on Holly, that would be a welcome surprise. Whenever people talked about her during the shitstorm, it was always "oh that poor woman who suffered so much at the hands of Mike Michaud" or "oh, the one I feel the most sorry for in all of this is poor Holly" and never "oh that woman who actively tried to cover up the whole Jew Wario thing and is trying really hard to shift the blame".
Sam Biddle, for those who don't know, famously said "Bring back bullying" in regards to Gamergate. I'm pretty sure he was a Gawker writer who lost his job because of that.
I know Gawker themselves admitted that Gamergate cost them at least a six figure sum in advertising (this was when GG was in its prime and before the Hogan case that ultimately killed them really took off).
