I think the person just told him to stop this stupid routine of juggling three identities. If Jake got an actual job a lot of his problems would be solved.
It’s just, he’s never getting that board game job or RPG job. It’s not going to happen.
But he could get a little job at Wal-Mart or as a glass sorter. He could buy second hand dresses at Good Will, save up for a wig and be a pretty little princess in his mind.
But he wants one job and one job only. And no amount of lack of education or failure at it is going to dissuade him.

He’s not a total imbecile, I could see him doing okay in some low-level office job. Mail clerk or admin assistant or something. Something that keeps him busy, gives him a little human interaction and gives him money. Having no social life, he could do his journalism (ha) on evenings and weekends.
I’ve seen a lot of “creatives” delude themselves into thinking they’ll just walk straight into their dream job and not have to worry about pay-the-rent work, but normally they grow out of that not long after college.
There’s a clear demonstration here of what a vile weasel Jake is when, having been caught out after making the dumb mistake of telling people where to find his info, he attempts to imply that his critic is some sort of Nazi to bring the wrath of Social Justice down upon him.

I'm getting a special kick out of seeing Jake interact with this supposed journalist, because unlike some of his twitter acquaintances with a moral objection to reading the Farms he knows he's talking to someone who has read the breakdown of how & why Jake Alley = SGG. No hand waving, no excuses, because once you've seen the evidence there is no question left to ask. I'm shocked he didn't get an immediate block.
