Bigot Brigade Something Awful and Friends - The roller-coaster train-wreck embarrassing downfall of a Web 1.0 giant and its tick offspring like from Cloverfield

I've always wondered how the reporting system works. I've never hit the button once no matter the faggotry I came across so I'm curious how many are like me and basically forget it exists versus the trigger happy ones that see anything remotely upsetting and mash it.

From what I'm told by a friend who modded SA awhile back, hitting report gives you a text box to fill in with a report reason. Then a bot account creates a thread in the mod-only forum's report subforum saying who reported the post, the report reason, and the post that was reported. Then a mod can either give a <1day probation or pass it along to an admit to do something else.

Incidentally, this piece of genius programming is also why the report system completely breaks if someone bans the bot account.

It may have changed in the last decade, but there you have it.

Looks like revisionist history might have worked on the ZenDeathRobot meltdown

Someone in QCS brought up the topic of deleting posts and when FAU said it was impossible to ever delete a post someone mentioned ZDR and this came up

So if you weren't around to watch ZDR melt down in the Mandy thread before threatening to quit and deleting all of his posts it was now just a random hardware issue by the hero valiantly hard at work behind the scenes on the forums and the forums are so badly coded that during an unrelated upgrade they just mysteriously deleted all of his posts, and only his posts, during an unrelated meltdown.

I like how the forums SJWs are now circling the wagons around ZDR and calling all of this a "Weird conspiracy theory" and not presenting what happened correctly to try and discredit anyone who might have been there. Nobody said he destroyed the forums and quit. He had a very public meltdown about the Mandy thread when he tried to close it and Lowtax kept it open because it was his personal thread. He then dared Lowtax to fire him and deleted all of his posts which royally fucked up the forums.

I wish I could find the post where FAU responded to the early criticism by saying that ZDR deleted all of his posts because he hadn't wanted to be a public facing member of the administration for some time. Which proved that ZDR did it on purpose.

That's also now the official party line about the DnD mods and admins attempt to weasel out of the Hillary toxxes. Any discussion about what actually happened gets called a conspiracy and the mods gas it.

While it's true that there were problems with the forums that made posts disappear, it can't really be used to explain those things. Maybe they're just retarded and get confused easily. It'd certainly explain a lot.

I would assume he deleted his posts by directly editing the database. He did this so smartly that it even broke threads he posted in on the pages he posted, probably because the threads contained a reference to these posts that were stored in a different field. (No idea if that's how vBulletin works, but I could imagine it does) I don't know if he fixed that later by also editing the threads but it might be.

It's absolutely mind boggling really. Imagine being Lowtax and having your entire livelihood in the hand of somebody like this you can't even control. It's insane.

Imagine being Lowtax and earning that many tenbux over the past two decades despite the fact you have no idea how php, databases or networks work.

Generally not knowing and not having the mind for that shit is ok, as long as you pay somebody to do your business. Well he used to pay radium for that, even past the point where it was obvious that radium doesn't do shit. He still put up with radium though because Lowtax always loved being surrounded by yes-men, even if they were useless. Every time you tried to call him out on things on the technical side not fucking happening because of radium you just got this very passive aggressive ironic-detachment-to-the-nth-degree "lol yeah I'm bad at internet business. Lol you care about it lololol". Then, in typical Lowtaxian fashion, he dragged radium through the dirt publicly when he "broke up" with him and played the victim. Justified or not, it's not professional or even decent considering he saw radium as friend once. Then ZDR sucked up to him enough and we know the rest.

Shit like this is why I don't feel sorry for Lowtax at all and find it kinda amusing that it all goes to shit for him.

Frankly back in the day lowtax would have torn the furfag a new one and rightly so, he's beginning to look like an old prize fighter whose taken one to many punches and now can't count so well except he did it to himself.
Vex is a fugag who writtes a shitty blog were as a middle class british nerd he drones on about cultural appropriation, offensive memes and other such American niche subculture subjects where he brings shame to his ancestors as our country circles the drain with actual issues. Also his tweets make it clear he's an awkward bore.

Vex would look like lolcow material and the lowest of the low by net culture but these cunts are a dime a dozen these days and Seeing lowtax humilated by one of these losers is strangly sad.

by constantly sympathizing with the sort of sadbrains that Something Awful was built on mocking, lowtax is clearly trying to pivot towards a "marginalized identity" of some sort, the question is which?

all signs point to "cuck"

Single, unemployable father of 4(?) with spinal AIDS.

Unfortunately for him, the type of folks who usually empathize with that story are the same ones he and his mod squad have spent the last 10 years aggressively running off the forums.
