I don't even think you can ban someone from the subreddit, you can get shadow banned, meaning no one can see your posts, but its not nearly the level of control alex wants.

I just love how his subreddit is the exact same as the Yanderesim subreddit but with a huge OFFICIAL on the top of the screen. Of all options he always picks the laziest and more arrogant one.

Drama on the fan Yandere Simulator Discord when some conversations between him and a fan leaked and his "clarification" on the Subreddit that he didn't tell a fan to commit suicide like some people assumed, but did say the world would be better off with them dead behind their back. That didn't appease his fans like he thought it would. Also stole CSS from the fan Subreddit for his official Subreddit which is sure to piss off people even more.

He joined up with a publisher named TinyBuild once under the impression that they'd pretty much finish the game for him. They didn't, and he tardraged when the programmer fixed his shit code and either Yandev fired them or TB got the fuck outta there, it's a bit unclear. Either way, apparently his own game's code is unfamiliar to him now.
As for working on it, sorta? He keeps filling the game with useless shit like memes/easter eggs and mechanics that barely have anything to do with the game like QTE combat in a social stealth game, but even that is taking him an eternity to finish. People are estimating at his current rate he'll finish the game when the sun goes supernova.

If someone out there really wants to make a game like that then they should keep it under wraps as much as possible. It’s honestly annoying now to see projects like OpenYandere (https://www.reddit.com/r/yandere_si...community_rewrite_of/?st=JGGSUC8F&sh=0c7090a6) get announced right as they’re beginning only to be abandoned just as fast since the dev’s only inspiration is to spite Alex. Plus having a game that’s been in development for years suddenly blindside Alex’s ego with a more efficient development and release would lead to some glorious salt.
Bonus points if the game is unique enough that Alex can’t even touch it legally.

- A few critics joined the Yandere Simulator Subreddit Discord (YSSD) and the Yandere Simulator Subreddit (YSS) where YandereDev (YD) occasionally goes
- This enrages YD as he can't get the mods to immediately ban the critics as said critics were being respectful and that the critics were not breaking any rules
- One of YD's fans (Jiyu) were getting a little impatient that YD was streaming instead of finishing the update and stated that on the YSSD like any other kid would
- YD stated in a private message with another user that "The world would be better if [Jiyu] was dead"
- In a desperate bid to get critics away from him, he asked the owner of the subreddit and Discord if he could buy both
- He mainly wanted to rule those domains with an iron fist
- Admin says no which further enrages YD
- All of these communications with YD were leaked by the moderators and owner
- YD has now abandoned said subreddit and Discord
- YD has now made his own subreddit at the previous subreddit (that he tried to buy) now hates him
