In the Kiwi Yansim, other lolcows are fighting for the love the attention of Cow-Senpai (Who's identity will be discussed later) Tutorial rival is Nick Bate, Who can either kill, or get him arrested for being a dirty Pedo. So that way he's gone from the game either way he's eliminated. You can even reveal he's a dirty pedo when you kill him to subvert people caring that he was killed to make it easier on atmosphere.

I cannot emphasize enough how much this breaks YanSim. If she can just brute force the delinquents, what's stopping her from just destroying everyone except Senpai? Also, even in a group, only one of them attacks at a time. And they all have the same voice.

Logic does not exist in a game made by Alex Mahan.

Whew, finally unbanned!

I can sum up everything Alex has done in the past month:

Didn't Alex say/write something along the lines of "gotta fix some bugs before releasing this delinquent build" in his delinquent teaser video? Kinda makes me wonder if he rushed this build out the door to cover his ass over the discord+subreddit drama or that he just did another shit job finding all the bugs that Jay (and many other fans) seem to find with ease.
Alex really doesn't have his priorities worked out (which isn't a surprise), seeing that Yandere Sim really didn't need this addition at this point in time as it would be more useful when let's say an actual rival is implemented. Even then the way they are now they're not fleshed out in terms of how it'll challenge and balance the game.
It would've been challenging if when you confront them as a group they'd all gang up on you instead of waiting in line and taking turns. All in all, was it really necessary to delay Osana/the mysterious obstacle for this new feature? In Alex's mind, yes.

Why are there two subreddits for yandere simulator? (three if https://www.reddit.com/r/yandere_simulator_/ is included)
/r/yandere_simulator is the main one that was made by the fans. /r/yanderesimulator is the one Alex made because the first one wasn't enough of a hugbox. /r/yandere_simulator_ was made in response to @zFlarex hacking the subreddit, IIRC. /r/yanderu_assimilator is a failed attempt at a Yandere Simulator circlejerk sub.

EDIT: 4 Yandere Simulator subreddits, and 4 is the number associated with death in Japan (and the rest of Sino-influenced Asia).

The game was broken the momente Alex made self defense a thing, in theory this update doesn't actually make it much worse. Previously the delinquents were stationary threats that you could simply avoid, now they just one more walking annoyance that you have to kill if they witnesses you.

New delinquent video.

Apparently, you can lower the delinquents' reputations and the bullies will bully them just like any other student. Also, student council members teleport when they hear you fight and pepper spray you as guys start beating you up.

What really bugs me out is the fact that the delinquents don't actually start with low reputation, they start neutral like every other student and the "super popular" bully girls. Hmm, it's almost like this whole "reputation" system is very badly made.

btw i only realized now that the delinquent eye color matches their color shirt, that "delinquent" is classified as Club and they randomly switch into Cellphone/Heroic/Scared/Evil/etc persona. God bless this spagheti code.

And this is still my favourite reaction in the whole game. Some dude beating a girl with a crowbar?

God bless the spaghetti code.

How 2 Make YouTube Video in 8 Easy Steps: by Alex Mahan

1. Show Yandere-chan being apprehended in some way.
2. Make a deep, philosophical quote about other games that are better than the one you're making.
3. Attempt to explain why a new feature is relevant.
4. Spoil everything about the feature you've added in the video, so it looks like you've done a lot.
5. Attempt to explain why your feature makes sense, even if you have to create time portals and overly-detailed YouTube videos to do it.
6. Mention new things you're going to add in the future, ignoring the fact that you're delaying Osana.
7. Say "This feature will make it fun to eliminate Osana".
8. Say "Thank you for following the lack of development of Yandere Simulator".

Everything is more broken than usual and I love it. He says this QTE fight was more complex than anything else he implemented, that's fucking hysterical. People like David Cage make games all around QTEs, as far as I know, they're pretty cookie-cutter and simple to add in. But, y'know. Spaghetti. Rushing so hard to get this addition into the shitbox only continues to show how poor he is as a game developer. As many people pointed out, it's really stupid that only Yandere-Chan gets pepper sprayed while these dudes with pipes just get thumb-twiddles. These severe badasses don't care about the rules, but they're only a few minutes late to class. Wouldn't ACTUAL delinquents just not show up? Logic interferes with his vision apparently. Also you'd think Yandere-chan having severe bruises would make some really kind students help her out, then Yandere-chan can somehow befriend them. That could be a mechanic that could be worked on that benefits toward the actual concept of a YANDERE GIRL, but what do I know? I think he just wanted to add battered waifu skin to the game because the edge.

Delinquents honestly feel like some minor shit he wanted to add because he saw some video game have something similar. Like always. Can't wait for the lore vid so I can just spam ow the edge.

Alex wouldn't know, because he's never actually been to a public high school and barely knows anything about human beings outside of his parent's house. And if he can, y'know, program Midori to walk up to the roof and stay there for a bit, why can't he program the delinquents to play hooky, walk, and just sit outside of the furnace the whole day?

actually now that you mention it, why he didn't make the delinquent's smokers? or beating the shit of someone, listening to music in a cardboard box behind the school it's pretty autistic, also Kubz Scouts in his video can make bully girl bully the delinquent, so expect a fix from Alex in one month more

I can’t wait to see how exceptional his reasoning is for the delinquents being able to get away with all this.
Sorry for deliberately being :late: but didn't he already explain this on the subreddit or something? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a screenshot (would search for it but I kind of can’t now) somewhere on this thread where he presented his retarded reasoning for the delinquents not being kicked the fuck out of the school.
He basically said the delinquents were previously very nice guys and the school councillor promised she’d turn them back to the light side in 10 weeks, otherwise they’ll get expelled.
I’m just waiting for the 3edgy5me backstories for each of those Kanji-ass-looking clones. I’m curious whether or not Alex’ll stick to what he came up with in the Yakuza video.

Can't wait for the lore vid so I can just spam ow the edge.
I'm gonna take a crack at what the lore might be by adding as many tropes as possible.
  • The Headmaster, in desperation, bribes the delinquents to come back to school to "take care" of yandere-chan. He promises them money, akademi high's discord server + subreddit, and immunity from the school rules during this job. That's why the SC doesn't attack them(fml, trying to put reason into his shit programming.)(trope: bribery)
  • The delinquents don't really care about yandere-chan and only pretend to be the headmaster's thugs for the immunity. So instead of doing what their supposed to do, they make the school their personal playground and enforce their own authority onto the school thru intimidation.(trope: bait and switch)
  • One delinquent tries to intimidate senpai to pay a 'protection fee'.(trope: extortion)
  • The Delinquent Rival rescues senpai by beating that one delinquent up.(trope: damsel in distress)
  • The rival hates people that pick on the weak.(trope: defender of the weak)
  • Rival decides senpai is a big fucking helpless pussy, and wants to protect him(trope: declaration of protection) and eventually develops feelings.(trope: bodyguard crush)
  • Yandere-chan grows suspicious of the rival, and decides to stalk her.
  • Rival gets a 1-v-1 challenge letter in her locker after school(trope: the challenge letter)
  • Rival goes to the challenge, but instead turns out to be an ambush by the 5 delinquents.(trope: obvious trap!)
  • Rival defeats them all.(trope: one man army)
  • Rival takes pictures of the badly beaten delinquents. Blackmails them to do whatever she says, or she spreads the evidence that one girl was able to kick all their asses at the same time.(trope: blackmail)
  • Senpai notices the rival's injuries, and tends to her wounds. This-make-ayano-angry!
  • Now, under her leadership, the delinquents can't do anything in the school without her permission.
  • Delinquents are still salty about the loss, but yandere-chan proposes a deal to them to get rid of their "leader".(trope: an offer you can't refuse)
  • Delinquents reply back by telling yandere-chan to 'stick your dick in a beehive' and that they were bribed by the headmaster to get rid of her - in which they attempt to do at that point.
  • Yandere-chan fights them, and spares their lives. They make a deal in which yandere-chan will help them get rid of the rival so the delinquents can have authority over the school again(trope: enemy mine), and delete the blackmail photos from the rival's phones; in exchange, the delinquents offer dirt on their "boss"- the headmaster(the dirt could be a headmaster tape or something), and bullying immunity for senpai.
The week after, with the delinquent rival gone, the delinquents have full reign over the school again. But they will break their immunity promise to bully senpai again to get some payback from two weeks ago since his bodyguard is now gone.(trope: lying finger cross) That's when yandere-chan kills them or releases the "deleted" blackmail pic around the school.

It's funny how the delinquents only beat up on you and ignore everyone else.

I suspect one reason Alex has so many female fans is the same reason a crappy anime like SAO has so many female fans, despite being ultra misogynistic- the females are projecting onto the male character and imagining they're him and they're commanding the love and respect (and even submission!) of all these girls instead of being the bottom bitch that groups of other girls gossip about and make fun of. And if said character is on the bottom rung of society, having the situation change so their unique skillset is suddenly important also lets them have a benevolent revenge fantasy. Unlike male viewers (who may not even relate to video game characters they're controlling), female viewers of anything feel much more of a need to insert themselves into someone and it doesn't matter what the gender is. Except Alex is the creator of a game instead of being in the game.

Basically what I'm saying is the reason female fans are so defensive of Alex-senpai (despite his bad behavior around women) is because they're living vicariously through Alex, like they would through a boy band, disappearing into his allegedly better life because theirs aren't going so great. It makes me think that YanSim's fans are both young and not very well-adjusted in terms of moving up in life.

Jesus fuck this guy is off the rails of what was supposed to be a simple indie game. He needs to scrap a bunch of this garbage and get the basics finished. Literally here's how I would make the game.
>the game takes place over 1 school year
>there are 8 different love interest that are into senpai that will pop up over the year
>you have one week to prevent the person from confessing to senpai
>you could do something where you have to spend some time before the week starts to find out who's in love with senpai out of a random set of girls
>once you do, you move into the kill planning week and plan to take out your rival
>each rival is different so you'd have to join different clubs to get access to things that will make killing the rival easier. These "things" take time to complete and set up over the week so it could be some kind of club event
>you may have to prove something to get into the club, idk
>rinse repeat in unique ways for 8 different weeks
>have time jumps so you can deal with different weather effects and have 8 kills in a year.
>have a system that rates the quality of your kills. If you have low kill quality and aren't creative, this will lead to some "finding out info on the killer"
>at the end of the game, if you kill quality is low and you confess to senpai, senpai finds out your insane and you go to jail because reasons. If it's high and good, you get away with it.
>as the killings progress, security in the school gets higher making it harder to do kills or get stuff for kills
>the retarded panty shots gimmick can be used to buy supplies that aren't obtainable in a school, like deadly poisons or guns, but if you're caught taking them, it negatively affects your kill rating.

Tada. I came up with a way to make this stupid game less bloated and still fun. Yanderedev, you can send me my check in the mail.
