Luna has Lurch shoot her up most of the time. She doesn’t actually have that much experience doing it herself, I assume the more nasty marks on her are p much always her attempts at it.

Edit: also whenever she writes extremely saccharine manic love notes like the one posted above it is safe to assume that she’s just happy bc Lurch shot her up, bought her something, or acknowledged her existence. lol

Looks like a needle bruise, for sure, but none of us would be surprised if Lurch is abusive or rough in bed.

Almost certainly injection sites. She probably cakes her track marks in foundation or concealer to hide most of them, like she does with her face.

How long until Luna’s arm goes all Requiem for a Dream? Between reusing needles and trying to cover them up with makeup (with grimy, unwashed hands no less) it’s amazing there haven’t been any super horrific infections.

It's hard to say, but losing an arm that way is pretty rare. Most of the infections come when people run out of veins and give themselves cellulitis by shooting into subcutaneous tissue instead of the bloodstream. I have seen junkies lose a limb because they passed out and rolled onto their arm, all the blood inside the veins coagulated into a hard mass. It's a rough lifestyle, just a matter of time before something really bad happens.
