TGWTG "Nostalgia Critic" / Doug Walker, Rob Walker, Mike Michaud, Mike Ellis, Holly Christine Brown, et al - The Incompetent Predator-Protecting Upper Management of Channel Awesome, Doug Still Not That Funny

IIRC apparently his wife just knew of his affairs a few hours before he blew his brains out.

He was in his early 40s when he died, and had a single, aging mother I think.

EDIT: let's ponder for a bit. Imagine what would've happen in an alternative universe, where Doug was actually considered by Hollywood and he started making movies there? Would they still be cringe, or not?

Does anyone have any information of JewWario's actual life? I'm making something and I'm trying to collect as much information about him as possible but there's so little available. It's not so much that it's been scrubbed so much as never collected.
I don't know much about him, but there's a picture of him and Pushing Up Roses that I can contribute:

The title of the picture is something someone on 4chan came up with, I can't take credit.

"Pushing up Roses and Pushing Up Daisies" that's fucking brilliant. She at least doesn't look creeped out, but Justin looks like that guy that stole rugs and stashed them at my old workplace.

Doug is saying that out of sarcasm to insult fans who love the remake more than the animated versions

Yeah, except Doug rightly pointed out that the live action movie lifted music numbers from the animated version. I'd describe what the delivery is like, but I'll just show you.

Justin taught him how to grope drunk women. Alas, Jason has yet to surpass his sensei. :c
Can't wait for the upcoming episode of Drop Dead Cynical.

I think if Doug was ever considered by Hollywood, his first movie wouldn't make it past pre-production before he'd consider throwing in the towel. The process of having, like, a hierarchy of producers micromanage/fine-tune his scripts, plus the transition between being basically an auteur in charge of his own online content into being just another pawn within the studio system, would drive him mad.

It's that sort of thing that inspired Jon Favreau to make Chef based on his experience with the executive meddling he dealt with on Iron Man 2.

Hell, Doug’s script wouldn’t be able to make it past a reader because Doug can’t write a
legitimate movie. Scratch that, he wouldn’t even be able to get a meeting with an executive. Why? Hollywood doesn’t want to bank on a guy with a small demographic of basement dwellers.

I don't know, he might have a shot at an Asylum film or Troma.

I know theres been a lot of talk about the issues with Kickassia, Suburban Knightes, and ESPECIALLY To Boldly Flee, but there was a neglected anniversary special called "The Uncanny Valley" (@Uncanny Valley) that was basically a sketch show. But is there any large incompetence behind this one?

I didn't even know it existed until it popped up when I was binging Mike Jeavons vids again

The thing I like about Troma is they don’t take themselves too seriously. Doug has an ego, and that can suck the life out of any film set, unless you’re the freakin best actor in the world.

I can see him coasting on everyone's good will just long enough to squeeze out a broken editing mess of a film where, by the end, everyone on the film crew has already left and he himself has to paste together the last scene with clips from other movies featuring his actors.

None that I know of, Mike did go over some stuff in his leaving vid, but it's mostly same old same old. Only thing that's different is no-one wanted to do it, hence why Mike got asked in the first place.

That's a good question. I'm kind of surprised that since the accidental reveal no one's done any real detective work on the guy. Most of what was publicly known about Justin was the JewWario image he projected and cultivated intentionally.

Would at least be interesting to know if he had a record or any other potential red flags. I mean I really doubt Michaud or any of CA's other upper management were bothering to do background checks on their associates.

Love how this guy in the back looks so dazed and confused in the picture. It looks like he just realized at the last second they were taking a picture.

IF he and Rob somehow made it to Hollywood and started making movies then I guarantee you that they would resemble a typical Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer production.
