Good point.
Dan Savage (a gay man who writes a sex advice column) once said that 'I remember stealing pantyhose when I was 14—I’ve never told anyone about this—and I enjoyed some exciting moments looking in a mirror while wearing them...I didn’t grow up to be a pantyhose-in-the-mirror fetishist.' That's pretty standard autogynephile behavior, but he outgrew it, and I feel like this isn't unique. I wonder what's up with that? I know some people say that fetishes are inborn, but I'm skeptical. Or, for that matter, what makes some little girly boys grow up to be happy gay dudes and some grow up to be troons?
