Their entire weasyl is kind of a gold mine of old journals featuring all kinds of subjects. It's worth a look through, even if it is old.

around this same time (2013-2015) she drew herself thin, and she drew herself often. god forbid you work on that backlog of commissions huh.

wow, the pic I used for the OP she isn't smiling so i didnt know she had that horrid of a... dental situation. Going to add that to OP unspoilered photos because lol. I actually had seen some of her drawn artwork with the missing tooth and thought it was "imaginative persona depiction" I didn't know it was real.

For this person to be colorblind the way they claim they are, there would need to be a history of colorblindness on both sides of the family (if the maternal grandpa was colorblind, for example, mom definitely carries the gene) and their dad would most certainly need to be colorblind himself (and if he's not, either oopsie poopsie that's probably not your daddy, or oopsie poopsie you should really consider getting a karyotype done because something's not quite right.)

This specific type of colorblindness is an X-linked trait, for anyone who didn't already know. There are other types that aren't, but red-green type definitely is.

Colorblindness is super rare in those with 2 X chromosmes (which, as an individual assigned female at birth, they would most likely have) because it is recessive, which means you need two copies of it in order for it to be expressed.

That's why it's always expressed in those with 1 X chromosome (because they only have 1 copy of a bad gene and nothing else to work with) and almost never expressed in those with 2 (because the good gene on 1 will pick up the slack from the broken gene on the other).

Basically, they would've needed to lose two coinflips in the genetics department in order to end up with deuteranomaly as a person who presumably has two X chromosomes, which is entirely possible, but extremely uncommon.

There are other ways genetically that I can think of which would've lead to them being colorblind in this way without a history of it on both sides, but that would be ridiculously unlikely and therefore I'm not even going to put it on the table.

I'm trying to say, from a (very simplified) biological standpoint, there's a good chance they're bullshitting, if for no other reason than because it's just so damn unlikely for somebody with that chromosomal layout to have this specific form of colorblindness, but it's also not impossible.

Of the different types of colorblindness, deuteranomaly happens to be the most common type, though, so. There's that in their favor.

That being said, I also know an artist who's done work for Disney and others who's colorblind, and you would never know it from looking at his work.

Also apparently their missing tooth just never grew in. Like you know how some lucky bastards just don't have wisdom teeth? Apparently they had that situation with that specific tooth.

Hi, I've been waiting for this thread.

Yeah, you got this. This really was the case.
Geez, how much more can this person be a mess?

Oh wow. On the other note, I am surprised that no one has mentioned about VCR-Wolfe's intense rejection for giftart in this forum, so, I'll be the first to mention it. I'm really suspicious that VCR-Wolfe's true motive to reject giftarts is over a selfish reason. It's to circle jerk with their best friends or whoever seemed "popular" enough, anyone who isn't up to their standard is a trash in their eyes. It's pretty fucking selfish if that's the case.

And this little nugget where they admit to acts of rage towards their friends, and also self-harm.

I also remember reading a post where they were talking about how lucky they were to have supportive, and loving parents, but because of all their mental issues they just cannot trust them. The whole post was written so weird, like a huge pity party that negated the fact their parents are really good to them.

Wish I could have found it.

But I think everyone here knows just how desperate Wolfe is to be a victim.

Yeah, people can do that, but it seems like throwing out the baby with the bathwater. You might find yourself making new friends with people because they're a fan and they might not be a piece of shit.

But then again, I get the feeling people who want to get close to VCR are probably not very pleasant themselves.

It's not uncommon to see a similar rule about gift art actually and isn't as outlandish as you think. Is it weird at first because a lot of people love gift art? Yeah. But it's also understandable with their reasoning on why they don't like it. It's common to see people use gift art of popular artists (ESPECIALLY on tumblr because of the reblog feature) to gain popularity. It's even recommended to do by some people (See: "How do I get popular on __?" along with taking free requests. In the end, it's not really a gift since you are aiming to gain from it.
VCR's argument of people using it as leverage against them (Or making it an unofficial art trade by guilt tripping) is also not uncommon for popular artists. It's happened more than you think and though delusional of the other person, it does tax the artist. Some just don't want to deal with the trouble, so they either don't make their characters public (See: A LOT of very very popular artists. You wouldn't know they had characters but a lot do.) or don't accept gift art. Plus there is also the argument a character can be VERY personal to someone and it may make someone uncomfortable by drawing because they're meant to be personal. This is the most common reason and I see it all the damn time.

So to pick at VCR for that is a bit reach-y and is somewhat proving their argument of people acting entitled to giving them gift art and feeling an artist MUST accept something another person does for them just because it was 'nice' (See: Nice Guys). Focus more on them as a person starting with that white girl shame by pretending to be a race that can easily pass as white.

I've actually seen people frequently use "gift art" to weasel a trade out of better artists. They'll draw them a gift, and then weeks later ask them where their half of the trade is even though a trade was never agreed upon. It's not always a way to get more popular, sometimes it's just because they want the art and don't have the money to pay for it so they try sleazier methods to get it.

Yeah, this is one of those situations where I'll (begrudgingly) give VCR a pass. But just barely, since their attitude in general is repulsive.

It's not a problem I've ever really had.

Or if somebody's tried that with me, I might have been too fucking oblivious to notice.

I haven't had it happen to myself either, but it's been a frequent enough problem to be reported in some beware communities on Tumblr and elsewhere. They seem to target lesser known but talented artists. I've seen similar behavior from problematic commissioners who seem to go out of their way to target lesser known artists with abusive behavior because those artists don't know they have options to defend themselves or that they can refuse service.

I wonder who hurt our poor cousin-of-shrek-looking queen so badly that they would do a 180 like this...

of course you can change your mind over time, but she's basically just being a huge hypocrite and denying giftart to be a dramatic whore.

anyway some new updates. women feel more like women after they attempt to be men. I'm looking forward to the dysphoria saga where she skirts around the subject of regretting being on T.

Regret, and getting mad at people for actually calling her by female terms even though that's how she'll portray herself as. :optimistic:
