He sounds like I expected: Really manic, the podcast is short, but I don't think he stopped for breath, his ideas were flowing in very quickly one after the other like an autistic train.

Could be fun. There are a lot of elderly Twitter boomers who are convinced everyone not in their circle of Russia fearing nuts is a Russia bot. They're super fun to poke sticks at but block fast. They're the politics equivalent of flat earthers - rabid, schizoid and loud.

The cast of deranged charlatans and grifters elevated into Russia experts since 2016 is large, Garland is just one of the obviously nutty ones who was still praised and cited by partisans for a period of time for his "Time for some Game Theory" tweet thread that contained no actual game theory and was long on vagueness and accusations and presumptions. These people are promoted and watched and read by partisans including so-called progressives who are indistinguishable from drooling John Birch Society members fifty years ago, raving about 100,000 UN troops secretly training under Russian command in the swamps of Georgia, 24,000 African cannibals among them.
