But that requires actual work and those rapists are scary people, here they can feel good that they accomplished something. Even if it doesn't actually help the cause.

It's all about ego, never the cause. Also maybe money depending on how much they're getting in donations.

i kinda find it funny they only targeted indie games as well, not stuff like senran kagura, GalGun, GTA V,and The Witcher 3, i bet there'd be lawsuits if they went after the "bigger games"
 
Some info to note
-The group is known as National Center on Exploitation, and renamed themselves from Morality in Media, inc. after 2015
-They're a non profit organization that tries to ward off pornography and talk about the harms of it (despite what other graphs have said)
-The head is Patrick Truman, a federal lobbyist.
-They have created "Dirty Dozen" which is a list of people, places, products, etc. that have such "filth"
-They are using the FOSTA SESTA bill as their biggest weapon and saying that the games are "Rape Training"
-They're against public libraries.

But you gotta fight them vidya games. They can teach our sweet little children to rape, just like how GTA teaches them the ways of being a gang-banging drug dealer and how COD teaches them to be the perfect military soldier.

Likely the indie shit is an easy target compared to bigger games. Beyond any gamer and weeb sperging over this, the whole thing is ridiculous, enough that there is a tweet like this:

VICTORY: Steam to remove sexually explicit and violent videogames from platform

BREAKING NEWS! Steam, the Walmart of online video game distribution, with over 35 million users who are children and teenagers, just contacted several videogame developers asking them to cover sexually graphic content in their games on Steam or face delisting. This sudden action by Valve, parent company of Steam, comes after a two-year aggressive campaign by the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, including the listing of Steam on the 2018 Dirty Dozen List.

Many games on Steams platform promote themes of sexual violence, exhibitionism, and rape and depict nudity and graphic sex acts.
When videogames include sexually graphic and degrading themes the user is not only a voyeur but an active participant in staging the scene.
As our society suffers from the consequences of campus sexual assault, military sexual assault, and rising child-on-child sexual abuse, we see that normalizing the sexual use (and often abuse) of others in videogames is irresponsible on the corporate and social level.
We thank Steam for their leadership in working to change our #MeToo culture in which sexual violence in rampant and normalized. Your corporate leadership is a major step in creating a world free from sexual exploitation.
