Glad he didn't kill anyone either. Armed citizens can make a difference, especially in rural areas with slow police reaction times. Armed guards at school that aren't cowards can make a difference too.* Thing is when they do their jobs it won't make headlines. Less bodies means it's not as news worthy either. Both cases don't fit the narrative so there's no reason to bring it up.

*There was a school whose principal was raked over the coals because it was a slow news day and they were pulling at straws. That same principal wanted to prevent a Columbine so he boosted up security. Later, when an attempted shooter was put down by those guards the same journalists who screwed with his life for clicks didn't give him credit for his foresight.
