How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

Never let it be said I don't occassionally unzip my mercy.exe file, but this isn't quite true. Like I said before, I knew Bob and his blog way back in the day when he would sperg about movies (I think I even ran into him first on Libertas). He really did once have a passion for movies and video games first and foremost.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold the phone. Bob was on Libertas? That movie website where John Nolte got his start? This I gotta hear.

*Sigh* STILL going on about Star Wars.

Not as a writer, but a frequent commenter - ESPECIALLY on Nolte articles. Looks like the old site has been swallowed up by the interwebs but if you go to Bob's blog, a search for "libertas" on there will reveal echoes of those times as he would make references to the site on his posts.

EDIT: Here's an example that is hilarious nowadays:

And as if that nonsense wasn't a veritable BUFFET of sad absurdity, last week a full-scale Blogfight broke out when "Transformers" first-draft story writer John Rogers over at Kung-Fu Monkey... http://kfmonkey.blogspot.com/2007/07/hey-libertas.html ...took exception to some of the GOPstriches over at "Libertas" jumping up to claim Michael Bay's latest affront to humanity as part of the flock:http://www.libertyfilmfestival.com/libertas/?p=5790

What's fun about this is that the silliness goes in both directions: For every nutbag "conservative" who LOVES "300" because he thinks it's "on his side," there's a nutbag "liberal" who HATES "300" because he thinks it's on "the other side"... and BOTH of them have decided this based on the "compelling evidence" that it's an action movie about a leader who marches himself and his men into an unpopular war.

You kinda have to wonder what "Bob-vision" is like considering his literacy skills. He has trouble with Wikipedia summaries of children's stories like how the other day he somehow how thought microscopic planets were time travel instead of....really tiny planets. He embraces it when it's brought up that he made a mistake by "fiction ain't real, friendo" and then arguing that it doesn't matter because Google exists.

Perhaps Bob vision is basically nothing new or original, just various properties of exsisting things made to appease his overlords and trying to be edgy and artsy.

That or a really warped view of how the world and politics works

As for Bob, let him just spew his verbal diarhea as long as he wants, at the end of the day all he can do is go to bed at 8am and cry himself to sleep because the Minion's studio makes still the Mario movie.
I can see it being better than the one Disney made in 1993 with Bob Hopkins and Dennis Hooper. I wonder if Bob’s aware that Disney did the 1993 Mario movie or not.

So far I found this where he has a hard-on for Angelina Jolie and Objectivism:

It’s official, put it to bed, the issue is settled:

Angelina Jolie is perfect.

Pictured above: God, or at least evidence there of.

From Variety, courtest JoBlo, comes the news that the Oscar-winning actress, activist, rescuer of third-world orphans and newly-annointed Queen of All MILFs is finally onboard a project she’s been “circling” for awhile now, a big-screen adaptation of Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged.”
http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=12922

Jolie, apparently, is a fan of the book and it’s author, the late founder of “Objectivism.” Frankly, so am I. In fact, to my ears, the Variety headline here may as well read: “Chocolate to star in Peanut Butter: The Movie.”

She’ll (apparently) be taking the lead role of Dagny Taggart, a hands-on female railroad chief. Here’s my personal favorite exchange from the novel, between Dagny and Cherryl, the new wife of her wormy brother (and double-crossing inter-office enemy) James, one of the baddies of the story. Dagny’s response is, I think, all the explanation needed as to why an actress of Jolie’s particular stature and history would seek out the part:

“There’s something I want you to know,” said Cherryl, her voice taut and harsh, “so that there won’t be any pretending about it. I’m not going to put on the sweet relative act. I know what you’ve done to Jim and how you’ve made him miserable all his life. I’m going to protect him against you. I’ll put you in your place. I’m Miss Taggart. I’m the woman in this family now.”

“That’s quite all right,” said Dagny. “I’m the man.”

Go on, TRY and name me one other current actress plausibly qualified to deliver that line.

Oh, and Bob saying "nigger".
Bobbo said:
That distinct sense you had over the weekend that they were ice-skating in Hell wasn’t your imagination: Anne Coulter finally pulled a stunt so crass that Conservatives are lining up to kick her out of the clubhouse, once and for all.

The problem arose when Coulter got up to do her signature verbal flaying of Democrat presidential candidates at The American Conservative Union Political Action Conference. It was televised, a sampling of potential Republican presidential nominees were present, and then this happened:

Coulter on John Edwards: She’d like to have said something about him, but “apparently you have to go into rehab if you use to word faggot.“

So… a psuedo-pundit flamethrower who’s entire schtick is to say vile, shocking things so that they can be opened up for discussion through the back door uses the anti-gay equivalent of “nigger,” and “Conservatives” react by…

…um… actually acknowledging that it was a big deal? Really? The same “conservatives” who rally behind the openly anti-gay president? The same “conservatives” propping up the so-called “gay marriage ammendment?” What the HELL is going on here? Did I wake up in some alternate universe where political types act honorably? Has the Republican Party realized that being the party that’s “down” with hating homosexuals is a long-term losing prospect?

Here’s right-wing movie blog “Libertas” doing the right thing:
http://www.libertyfilmfestival.com/libertas/?p=4506

Over at the similarly firmly-conservative Hugh Hewitt site:
http://hughhewitt.townhall.com/g/380bdbbd-8f01-45cb-8dd8-d1370aa6f1b2

And most-importantly, all three “top” GOP candidates – Mitt Romney, John McCain (who wasn’t at the event) and Rudy Guiliani – all denounced her:
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/04/u...da3997b1d639ef&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss

This isn’t about hate crimes laws or any such nonsense. Coulter is free to say whatever damn fool thing she wants to. But it’s also the right of others to distance themselves from her words if they find them offensive, and the right of the Conservative “movement” to kick her to the curb if they feel she is no longer helping them with this stuff.

This is the sight of the Political Party acting like a responsible movement of mature, tasteful adults. Hopefully we can look forward to more like it… but I doubt it.

Ladies and gentlemen, I think we've found a new goldmine.

That require awareness so no he doesn't.
(Off-topic addendum to my previous post: I just wanted to be a Jedi guys, not the bad thing)

And if he tries to get rid of anything...

He did review them. He thought Inception was good and feel it’s Nolan’s only best film and he didn’t like Interstellar.

Strange, I did a search for them on his youtube channel and didn't find them. Or did you mean a text review?

He won't try and get rid of everything. He'll just ignore it or say we're taking it out of context and his female overlords will demand extra ass pats and some extra donations as penance. Speaking of female overlords, does anyone here see Blob going with Nora REEEEEEd over Saint Anita sometime in the future?

In fact, he put the latter film at #20 on his 20 Worst Films of 2014 list:

One of the comments that nails how I feel:
Wait, Interstellar and Godzilla are on his top 20 worst movies of the year, but Transformers *hurl* Age of Extinction isn't?

Just lost a little respect for Bob, here.

:offtopic:(Which reminds me I need to rewatch Interstellar, since I haven't seen it since I saw it in theaters):offtopic:

I believe Bob-vision is like having glaucoma of the eyes due to very poor health choices, but instead of traditional blindness, it leads to other, more dire things. Such things include such smug pretension where you believe your half-assed videos about the latest fucking Marvel movie makes you immune to financial burdens of life that you so arrogantly sneer about while failing to realize the irony that you yourself are on extremely borrowed time in your field that is getting uberfucked at the current moment. Makes you believe that simply belief in any form of traditional Western religion or values believing them to be "Fairytale beliefs" while you yourself believe that Lunar Colonization is not only feasible but a practical use of resources rather than attempting to unfuck your own planet first. Belief that Coastal Cities are the beacon of what is all, just, and right going to smugly and passively sneer at the Wasteland Ghouls that live in the interior all the while failing to realize the sheer amount of crime, corruption, poverty, and decadence that threatens to unravel not only the state you reside in but potentially the country as a whole. Belief in that wholesale Globalism will lead to some perverse "New World Order" where whatever the fuck intelligent people means all the while the very state of affairs says that most of the world while the EU is on the brink of collapsing, NAFTA is getting replaced piece-by-piece, China the other Far Eastern Asian powers in some rather dire powerplays right now, and on and on and on.

There are other various symptoms I could talk about, but we would be here for an entire day.

He never grew out of the phase where you shield yourself from opposing viewpoints because they're not what your parents said was true. For someone who's all for the whole "globalist" thing, he's not very well-educated on people or areas outside of the coastal cities he loves, and I'm pretty sure he's not well-educated on those either.
