New video

I'm replying to this again because it's time to do some debunking with it.

time to do the math.png

You dedicated an entire YEAR to developing Osana, and we're only 4-5 years into development. I think that's a bit more than 5%. To be exact, that would be 20% for 5 years and 25% for four. He's exaggerating a lot here.

lmao full time.png

So you're still planning to do a crowdfunding campaign when you have 22,000+ dollars in the bank from your patreon to work on it? Now that's bullshit if I've ever heard it. Plus, no one is going to want to work with your spaghetti ass code.

this man doesn't learn.png

Do you seriously think this would make coding easier for the game??? Are you expecting programmers to be carbon copies of each other, let alone understand your old code?? This will just make shit even harder for the game and will lead to even grosser framerate and even more horrendous bugs.

"The year is 2063, and what was meant to be a satirical aspect of a 2018 video by Alex Mahan has now become a reality. We tried to reach the 75 year old developer for comment on why he hasn't finished the game, but he threw his cane at our crew and told us to fuck off and stop harassing him."

>90 students at school
Am I the only one who sees a problem with this?

A lot of those things aren't necessary for a demo. Ex. snap mode, intro cutscene, and the 90 students.

So the footage he shows has the delinquents, bullies, Fred, and a SC member all in same room.
How would that actually happen if the delinquents hang around the incinerator all day?
:dunsparce:

More like how would that actually be possible to accomplish if they were all there at once. SC would try to pepper spray you, the delinquents would try to fight you (also Furredo), the bullies would take a picture of you and text the cops somehow, this mysterious obstacle is going to be in the way, etc. It's pretty much fucking impossible to get out of that without killing literally everyone.

Also, if he has a template for the rivals once Osana is done, why would he even need extra programmers if the first rival only accounts for 5% of his time?

Wouldn't he need them more for the 95% of the game he is working on?

Wouldn't he need an actual functioning game?

Why is he talking about all these features as if they were NEEDED for Osana? Most of the stuff he seemed to make up on the fly during these 5 years.

And him saying "can't put Osana in, because you need to have the full game experience to see how fun it is". Most of the things he had on the to-do list are purely technical and performance issues, except for the "mysterious obstacle" that affects the main objective. Most club bonuses, killing methods, "stealth gameplay", "combat" and NPC roles are already in place and the only thing the rival has over Kokona is interactions with Senpai that you can sabotage if you keep stalking her all week similiar to just framing her for cheating on the tests. So honestly, this final product doesn't sound that much different or more fun.

Also, he keeps saying that he is going to reuse Osana's Code once she is finished. Is that even posible?

Let's pretend that he will actually finish Osana(LOL), how is that going to work? the other rivals are going to have different routines, unique elimination methods, new models, voices lines, etc.
What part of Osana is he going to reuse?

I know I said I got off this short bus, but getting an email saying “Where’s Osana” made me check.
That is the most condescending video he has put out yet. Not only does he treat fans asking for progress as if they were a nuscance, he also shows once again that he doesn’t understand how game design works. You don’t develope everything individually like this. God he’s exceptional.

“I wouldn’t dream of putting Osana into the game” is the quote I’ll keep.

On another note. I haven't looked at these "characters" in a long time. What the hell is up with Alex's creepy thigh high stocking fetish? 6 out of 10 of these girls are in thigh highs. Not only would these be banned in a regular Japanese high school, they aren't actually in fashion in Japan with the average teen. You will maybe see a few of them during winter months, but not this high of a sample amount.

I love how half-assed the list is - it's obvious he just threw up whatever he could think of to try to support his excuse. He has every single persona listed as a separate bullet point, yet "students react to blood/limbs/weapons" is unfinished. He just tossed in "stable framerate" because it's a complaint, as if he'll just spend a week fixing that later.

He couldn't even stick to this excuse, either, he had to try for everything by also claiming he's made progress on Osana.

You know, since one woman takes 9 months to make one baby, clearly 9 women would make one baby in one month.

Also, notice how he said that the programmer will implement tools. Not work on the game code itself, but on tools. He still hasn't gotten over the "TinyBuild toucha my spaghett'!" incident.

All in-game footage in those videos is bullshit, made manually by carefully prescripting events.

My bet is that's never gonna happen. Also, he'll gonna be stuck for a long time working on the save/load system and on the tutorial.
The remaining items are pretty easy compared to those.

Joke's aside, is he suggesting Osana will be ready in April 2019?

Agreed. Fix the student reactions, add the "obstacle", finally add Osana and the game is ready for Kickstarter. Fuck making tutorials, he can upload video tutorials like he has been doing the whole fucking time.

But he knows that saving, in-game tutorial and performance fixes will take him ages to do, so he wants to mïlk the Patreon as long as possible.
Maybe he's also hoping for CPUs, GPUs and RAM getting better and cheaper over time, so maybe when Osana is ready, computers will finally be able to run YS at stable 23 fps.

Copy-paste, edit some things, quick bugfixes when Osoro starts speaking Osana's lines, spaghetti explosion, a tantrum on Youtube.
