Trenders usually go with a completely different or unique sounding name since they are just LARPing. I've known a couple of dudes that turned out to be genuinely dysphoric so Gerald became Geraldine and Cory became Carla. I think the genuinely dysphoric do want to be themselves just the opposite gender. Not saying 100% of them do this but it is a common enough trend and might be worth researching.

I once encountered a Labelle fan on FB that was a total troon who didn’t even try to pass; he wore regular male clothing and had a beard, but he changed his name to a hodge lodge of Disney Princess names.

And lest we forget the 250 pound, 6’5 ex-marine autogynephile named Doug, who know goes by the monicker “Audrey Beauregard.”

Now in the defense of artists, unless you work for a studio there isn't much in the way of health insurance options and going with private insurance blows. Those payments can cost more than they might make in a month. However nothing is stopping them from getting an actual job and supporting their lifestyle and the making of their comics the old fashioned way.

So it really boils down to the artist themselves. As an example Artists like SiR or Pleb aren't going to e-beg for free pizza, med money, and rent. They are going to pound ground and work their asses off so they can one day make their passion a career. On the flip side LaBelle and her ilk will only pound people's sympathy to cover the costs of pizza ( poutine) meds ( HRT), and rent and their only passion is to keep that pitybux gravy train going.

I agree with you though when shit gets oddly specific then that raises a big red flag that this is shit is just e-begging.

Doug (alias Audrey Beauregard) is another gargantuan, deranged, and violence prone troon and Labelle fanatic that lives in Colorado; he's also an ex-marine (because, why not?)

(S)he was dating a wheelchair bound (of course) "gender neutral" goth trender named "Amiel" (real name, Claudia) and they had a very fucked up abusive relationship. Amiel-cum-Claudia used to get smacked around for not worshipping Assigned Male, from what I heard.

As you might have guessed by now, "Audrey" and I have some mutual friends in common, including a very close friend of mine who ended up on the receiving end of unsolicited girldick pics from shim. To top that off, Audrey has been desperately trying to modify his face/body/hair/style to resemble said friend. It's very Single White Tranny.

Anyway, Audrey-cum-Doug eventually came across me making fun of Labelle on social media and had a meltdown after he contacted our mutual friend and demanded she made me stop posting memes and jokes about Guillaume. Naturally, she told him/her to fuck off and that she didn't care. The moron then went crying to the greater Front Range area that "she" was "assaulted" by us. To this day, we get asked if we're the "ones who assaulted [my] friend Audrey?" My friend did have a great response, however; "Yeah, we totally grabbed her by the--- Oh, wait..."

Audrey/Doug also went on a campaign trying to "prove" I was the one who started that shitty Twitter account that claimed to be an official Labelle/Bria tranny porn page. The most insulting part of this was accusing me of being part of something so utterly devoid of all humor and wit.

Here are some photos of Doudrey. If he didn't keep a relatively low profile, he'd be great Lolcow material.

Yep, one moment he's chatting her up and complaining about taking care of his gender neutral wheelchair troony, and the next she's bombarded with dick pics. (She had no clue Doubrey was a tranny because they haven't met in real life at that point, all my friend had to go by were the Labelle-esque doctored selfies.)
