Yes, really! I have no idea why Tevin started referring to Phil as Dave. But coincidentally, it is his father's name!

Here's David Burnell's LinkedIn profile. There's a lot of detailed information about his work at Sikorsky, teaching in the Engineering Department at the University of Bridgeport, and his political career. All things we've heard from acquaintances of Phil's earlier in this thread, but never in the man's own words!
Interesting fact: Like Phil, Dave also got his undergrad degree in business. The difference is, Dave went on to get his Master's Degree in Quality Control.
I think Phil's life would be a lot different if he had used his business degree as a starting point to move on to bigger and better things.
Because his father is a professor at UB, it's possible he could have taken classes and earned another, more specialized degree for free! I'm not sure if this extends to the children of adjunct professors like Dave, but I know for a fact UB allows students to intern at the school to cover tuition costs. Phil was lucky enough to have a relative to recommend him for a job, and he blew it!
In other words, Phil's rants about not being able to afford education to better himself are invalidated. The reality is that he is lazy and never put in the hard work necessary to succeed. He never had the self-awareness to make plans for the future. He never decided what he wanted to be when he grew up. He remains in a state of suspended adolescence, while he is growing old fast.
People in Connecticut are very highly educated in comparison with the rest of the country. Just having a bachelor's degree won't qualify you for a job (beyond low end retail jobs like Best Buy)! The job market has also taken a dive because the governor refuses to offer businesses a favorable tax rate (Dannel Malloy consistency makes Top 5 on the list of Worst Governors).
I don't blame Phil for leaving CT, but I do feel he wasted opportunities others would be grateful to have.
