Lol he milks his khantent for every last dollar, breaks his 3 hour streams into 10 min segments on Youtube so each video has 2 ads. I stopped watching Game Grumps when I realised why each video was around the 10 min mark because that's all you need for 2. Its a common Youtube ad whore practice.

Dude both Game Grumps are already millionaires.
DSP does the same and he had a 6 year head start to catch up to them. Still fucking failed miserably.
Nothing he could do.

PSA:
TL;DR I don't want people to have to read a ton of nothing to figure out what's going on in the world of DSP. Please only post if you have something to add and be liberal about making and using new threads for out of the ordinary events, even if they haven't become big yet.

I've been trying to figure out a way to maintain a low barrier to entry for people wanting to discuss or even read about the DSP universe. I had originally focused on the rapid growth of the general discussion thread after a conversation with someone who was hundreds of pages behind and he mentioned that he was only a few months behind. The sheer number of pages he had to read to catch up is a good example of a high barrier to entry. Some large events have happened lately (breakup announcement, taxes reveal, escort saga, Kat reveal) and some small ones (failed sponsorships, suspensions) and I understand that type of thing is going to create more discussion than usual. The issue I have is that the amount of discussion hasn't gone down to normal when those events end. The growth hasn't simply sped up while out of the ordinary stuff is going on, it has sped up exponentially as though all of these events never ended and are happening all at at once, even though they have ended and have been more or less one at a time.

Please refrain from posting in event specific threads if you have nothing to add. If you just want to talk about the normal day to day activities of DSP stuff do so in the general discussion thread. I'd like the general discussion thread to be something people can skip if they only want to know about "interesting stuff." If stuff is remotely out of the ordinary please make a new thread for it with a date, descriptive title, and whatever description you want in the opening post or use the thread for it if it has already been made.

Besides Kat reveal 2018 DSP is mostly filler

Ive got a question:
Whenever his livefapping comes up, its followed by "in front of a thousand children". Even dsp started to say this phrase. What is the origin of this? The guy from the F13 session? Do we know who he is? A detractor or just a random person who heard about dsp? Would be nice to know.

>catfishing empire and dutch woman with a plastic children's baseball bat in her vagina
>2 twitch suspensions
>youtube channel disappearing
>youtube community strike over masturbation video from 2 years ago
>kat reveal
>state backtaxes saga
>entire thekingofhate.com forum getting threatened with dox festival
>someone trying and failing to send DSP a 29" cardboard penis in the mail
>twitter shitstorm involving people from almost every triple-A game company calling DSP an idiot
>11 year old girl saga
>dead brother saga
>BSV redemption run
>LTG/DSP feud
>Tevin soda poisoning saga
>Jetrex arrest saga
>KoP penis saga
>2 separate gaming chair sagas
>DSP DMCA/legal takedown twitter DM leaks
>Private Q&A leaks

"mostly filler"

I'm still amazed that almost none of his dramas even really involve video games tbh.

I just think 2017 was a lot more exciting. Most of his drama's this year only seem to last a day or 2. Probably not a good idea to say this since Phil is reading this right now lol

I feel like im not fully into dsp extended universe, no idea the fuck are these, gonna check it out now.

How do we know it failed? Cause dsp said so? I have more trust in any other person. Moreso, he was really triggered when it came up in a pubg stream, he was on and off of it for like 20 mins. I really think he would never admit he got that so him saying he did not get has no value. Unless I missed some other source saying it failed.

I think Phil is finally starting to catch onto the fact how valuable his drama is. He's fished for views before when the tax saga was just starting at what not, but I think seeing his YouTube crisis hit 2k views was really eye opening for him. He's mentioned a few times how he hopes to retain those numbers and how he wants those people to make it out for his normal streams, so I think this vague "pending bad news that he can't talk about for undisclosed reasons" is just an attempt to hype up his drama and get people showing up to his stream. But then he'll avoid questions, insist he doesn't want to talk about drama because he's a positive dude, only to then talk about said drama two minutes later, insisting he can't actually talk about it. Rinse and repeat for an hour and a half of prestream and there you go. I'm sure in a month or two he might actually come up with some kind of answer, but it'll probably be generic finance/detractor/YouTube sucks stuff.

True but the guy who did it had a Jason Mewes avatar and there were other circumstances involved.
If it actually happened and DSP lied = funny
If it never actually arrived but was still sent = funny

The person did provide screencaps proving it was sent.

Thank you guys for the reminder. Then it is much more possible that he lied about it (especially if the address was correct). It just bugs me he would lie about a thing like that. His ego... and no fun allowed.

It is from the Friday the 13th The Game incident.

I always like how he creates this air of unnecessary drama and mystery by saying "I can't talk about this now!" Nigger, you can sum it up very easily in one Tweet. All of this bullshit he say's he can't talk about could be summed up in a single sentence.

I owe back taxes. Done.

No, I did not hire an escort here is my real girlfriend's face. Done.

Youtube suspended my account because they think my Google Plus was sending spam. Done.

Are there any that I missed? The bullshit can be summed up that easily and doesn't require multi-hour streams to get to the fucking point.

Yes, but all the drama would be avoided if he was direct with it instead of going around in circles claiming there's an emergency but he can't talk about it just yet.
Leanna went to the hospital, she's fine now. Done
Me and Leanna aren't togheter anymore. Done
Etc.
All the details create drama. If he just shut the fuck up like he keep saying he'll do he probably wouldn't be such an active lolcow. Remember when he said he wouldn't show his new girlfriend then showed her like a piece of meat to spite the haters? Remember when he said not to long ago he'd only tweet about his business stuff and how that didn't even last an hour?
He's like Totalbiscuit (rip) when it comes to social media. He can't handle them. He should stick with streaming and focusing on the games and shut up about everything else.

You'd think he'd catch on when he's sees he has thousands of "detractors, thousands of followers on Twitch but only a dozen are interacting in the chat and he barely manages to get 400 viewers. That's not even 1% of his total followers who show up for his streams. Youtube isn't even worth talking about at this point since his situation is even worst there.

And for the love of Allah, drop the Darksydephil name, stick with DSP or even better, Phil Burnell. It makes it sound like he's an edgy teen (but I guess he still is).

Phil does this like once a month. He teases things he can't talk about and then either never shares what it is as it magically disappears or it's something pointless.

I used to think he did it for attention more than money, but since we just got to watch the YouTube strike live I think it's actually just he really does feel threatened by easy to solve things sometimes and he can't help himself but tell everyone he's got a problem.

Basically, he feels like he NEEDS to share that something has upset him, but he knows it's stupid enough even he doesn't want to share details and get laughed at.
