The accused has their account on lockdown, but honestly? Their art isn't that similar, unless scpkid wants to copyright vaguely canine animals facing right. Plenty of people emulate this shittily-lined, fat, cartoony, sloppy uwu cute artstyle and don't get in trouble, so I have no idea why scpkid honed in on this one individual. Maybe because they actually execute anatomy the slightest bit better. There was actually the same wishy washy vagueposting about the same person a few months ago, maybe I'll hunt it down later.

As you can see there's some really big stylistic and anatomical difference that develops in the later images. For someone who makes as much off their shitty art as scp does, I'm honestly dumbfounded as to why bother at all. I can think of at least five pretty well off copycats/similar artists who haven't gotten the same treatment.

Apparently Sweet n Treat was caught vaguing but I missed it and didn't screenshot. Sad!

They didn't steal shit. If you go on aliexpress stores will sell chinese knockoffs of existing fursuits that look like that but use an image of the real, actually good fursuit.

scpkid's art isn't stunning, but the pose similarities at least make it look like it's worth investigating the possibility of tracing.

If that's the only thing that lines up, then it's probably not being traced, but if they can go through the accused's work, all of it, and find several more things that seem like they've been tracing their stuff, only then is it really worth a callout post.

I swear the majority of furries never learn to actually draw, just how to mimic a style and the one animalistic purpose it has.

I remember one really good artist who 'taught' 2-3 friends how to draw. Within a year they all looked like poor copycats of the exact same style, and you could just tell they'd be unable to draw like.. A chair.

That's how the furry art economy works. Who cares if some other artist has a similar/better style, cheaper price, and actually finishes their commissions when you can commission popufurs. In the furry fandom, getting a commission from a popular artist is seen as a thing to be proud of.

Well, again, the fandom is nothing. The only thing it produces is ego, and having half as many drawings at twice the price just because the artist's name is recognizable is how most prefer to run their popu-business.

I find it especially funny when an OC only gets attention and free artwork because it was made by a good artist. I've seen straight up 2008 furry avatars from Second Life being used as base, but they paid someone $200 to recreate it as the initial reference, so rather than drawing the character, other artists draw that artist's depiction of it; making it "good".

And then they try to create a second OC and it's the worst shit show you've ever seen and the first one was an obvious fluke.
