Funny, I knew a guy once who behaved that exact way. He needed a job so I suggested he apply where I worked at the time.

He was curt to customers, dismissive and rude to coworkers, defiant to bosses, petulant, winy, and would routinely come back late from breaks or leave early and railed that he didn't get the same vacation and time-off perks as people who'd been there for years.

Why? Because "Until they pay me enough, they're just not going to get my best effort. Why should I bend over backwards for minimum wage and having to work with idiots?"

And of course, after he was predictably fired in short order, he badmouthed the company all over Facebook and went down the road to the competitor, and did the same thing.

A couple months later, he was out of that job too. Sparking another Facebook rant about how every employer in this town was full of idiots.

In other words, straight up projection from incels to other likeminded people in their group, and attempting to hinder other incels' progress by playing devil's advocate about any hobby that will make them happy. "you might find distraction in the form of artistic accomplishment but you will never be fantasized about..." making them maybe wanting to break out the guitar for themselves about their not getting laid- the ultimate trump card to make incels rethink doing something that makes them happy. That's not being a support group, that's toxic behaviour to try and get people to rethink things about what they want to do because it doesn't line up with the groupthink or thought process of others.
