It's funny how that "11 days to pay for bandwith" statement is so utterly meaningless. First of all that's not even half a month until the forums become profitable. Many small, internet-based businesses would be happy if that would be the truth for them. Granted, bandwith costs like nothing these days so he might not make a lot of money, but I'm willing to believe that SA is still generating enough traffic to be not that cheap. Also Lowtax has shown in the past (and has sometimes been proud of it, too) that he's downright ignorant about how any of that "internet stuff" works (you know, that thing that kept him fed for decades now) so he might not be with a provider that actually has reasonable prices. Prices can and will vary a lot there.
Then on top of that we are dealing with Lowtax here and he's a liar. Always has been. This statement that doesn't even really express anything might not even be true (or greatly exaggerated) to begin with. He has proven many, many times that he'll lie if it benefits him, even right on SA. It's amazing how the people still buy this shit. You can't even say "hey maybe they aren't there that long and they don't know him yet" because there are barely any new posters on SA and everyone who is there has been there for years now. I also still remember the time where he was "above" donations because he was literally too lazy to set it up and just asked the people to buy forum stuff so he doesn't need to make the effort. That he never uses the money for the things he said he's going to use it for I won't even mention, that has been covered.
Regarding his VPN deal - I also investigated it a while ago and it's actually shady as fuck as the company behind that VPN is some offshore thing and nobody even knows who (as in which persons) runs it which is not how VPNs are usually run, like at all. The leadership in most privacy-oriented VPN services is actually very public about who they are to build trust. It might be some government honeypot for all we know. Lowtax is exactly the kind of guy who wouldn't ask any questions as long as the money comes in and his forum is also full of degenerates.
Lowtax is also not stupid enough to not know that his forums are shit, that is while he doesn't implement a monthly fee or anything like that. He knows that'd kill the money-giving cow. It makes much more sense to milk the sad, overpaid computer janitors that keep giving him money over and over in his beg-a-trons, while lazily and transparently pretending that he's a SJW and hates "the man" just like them. He also doesn't have to promise anything for donated money. I wonder actually what the legality of that is, where I live a for-profit company who takes donations and has volunteers on staff would be in all kinds of hot water.
